Purity...

What is Purity?

1. Purity is keeping your physical and emotional purity.(I will get into the topic of emotional purity in another page). What does the Bible says about purity?

In 1 Thes. 5:22, it tells us to abstain from all  appearance of evil.

Leviticus 18 :7 - "Not of ye shall approach to any that is near of kin to him, to uncover nakedness: I am the Lord.

As Christians in a perverted and worldly universe, a world that doesn't follow God's Word, we should be a light shining in this world! It doesn't matter if we're still young, we can still serve God.

1 Timothy 4:12, "Let no one despise your youth, but be an example to the believers, in word. in conduct, in love, in spirit, in faith, in purity.

1 Timothy 5:2-Treat the younger as sisters in purity.

1 Timoth 5:22- Keep thyself pure.

As you can see, moral purity is based on the Word of God.

Emotional purity is doing your best to save your emotions for the one you will marry.

Think about these following 2 questions: Why should a girl give her first kiss to anybody but her husband? Isn't her heart as valuable as her lips?

1 Corinthians 7:1-To not touch a women.

-No SPECIAl touches until marriage. Period.

2. How valuable is purity?

Answer: It is like the gold of the ark of the convenant, it is of priceless value.

3. How do you protect it?

-Make a commitment to purity. (Physical and emotional purity as well).

Joseph(in the BIble) made a commitment to his own integrety and to God. And he was able to keep his purity.

4. Make sure you have supportive friends.

5. Have some standords to help you keep it.

6. Give your heart to your parents.

-Prov. 23:26

Remember: The choices you make in your youth will impact the rest of your years in life.

I hope some of what I wrote helps!

Love & Blessings,

Beth
