What are some dragons you have? Maybe some are fears of people not being able to accept you? Or maybe you have a fear of never getting married. Well, to tell you the truth...sometimes I will also have fears about whether or not I will ever get married. And guess what? I have had a boy friend who's name is Justin. His last name is Case. Just in case? HAHA LOL. Well, here are some Bible references that I got which helps me.I am also reminded of the benefits of waiting on the Lord which I will write after I write this part:
Instead of entertaining fears:
Refuse to listen to the lies Satan brings against you. Take captive wrong thoughts and replace them with thoughts and replace them with Scripture. " Resist the devil, and he will flee from you" (James 4:7)
Remember that you are in a spiritual war, and use the weapons God has given you. "Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked" (Eph. 6:16)
Fear the Lord. All other fear diminish when you stay focused on living for the One who sees everything you do and to whom you will one day give account. Neither shall ye fear other gods. But the Lord your God ye shall fear; and He shall deliver you out of the hand of all your enemies" (1 Kings 17:38-39). " In the fear of the Lord is strong confidence" (Pro. 14:26).
Pay attention to the needs of those around you, and purpose to lay down your life out of genuine love for the Lord and others. "There is no fear in love;but perfect love casteth out fear" ( 1 Jn. 4:18)
Meditate on specific verses that remind you to rest in the Lord. "Be careful (anxious) for nothing; but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus" (Phil. 4:6-7)
Know that when you fix your eyes on the Lord, there is no room for fear. "Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind stayed on Thee: because he trusteth in Thee" (Is. 26:3)
Benefits of waiting on the Lord:
I will not be ashamed (need not fear disappointment or disgrace, having confidence that God Himself is my ally). " For they shall not be ashamed that wait for Me"(Is. 49:23)
The Lord will strengthen my heart. "Wait on the Lord: be of good courage, and he shall strengthen thine heart: wait, I say, on the Lord" (Ps. 27:9)
You (as in anyone who waits on the Lord) shall inherit the earth. ( In the end, it is not the wicked who will receive lasting rewards, but the meek and humble.) "For evildoers shall be cut off: but those that wait upon the Lord, they shall inherit the earth" (Ps 37:9)
Your strength will be be renewed. "But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint" (Is. 40:31)
The Lord will be good to you. "The Lord is good unto them that wait for Him, to the soul that seeketh Him" (Lam. 3:25)
Hope those verses helped!
Loves & Blessings
