Introduction

My name is Nick Forbes, I am a researcher for the Driving Research Group based at the University of Nottingham in the UK. Presently I am investigating the effects of satellite navigation systems on drivers and driving behaviour.

Please note recruitment for this study has now ended as we have reached our specified quota of participants.

Thanks to all those who participated. I will send you a paper in which the results will be properly written up in due course, to the email addresses you used during the study, I will also post a short summary back here when they are available.

If you would like to take part in other paid driver and navigation system user research studies over the couse of the next few months, please complete and submit the eligibility questionnaire on the final page, and we will contact you shortly before we begin our next research project, if you live near Nottingham in UK, there may also be the opportunity to sign up to be involved in paid simulator studies.

Participate in paid user-research

Following a successful online satellite navigation system (Sat-Nav) user survey conducted earlier this year, the aim of the present research is to find out a little more about the ways in which drivers experience their navigation systems.

Please read a brief description of the study using the links in the navigation bar on the left hand side of your screen. If you decide that you'd like to participate, you will be asked to complete a short driver information and eligibility questionnaire to confirm your age and driving experience. Once you have completed this questionnaire you will be recruited to take part in the study.

If you complete the whole study you will receive Ł25 (approx $50) for taking part in this research.
