          Sponsor an Animal

These animals are available for sponsorship, they are permanent residents and will not be rehomed. You will receive quarterly updates on your chosen animal as well as photographs. You can also come and visit your chosen animal to see where they live and how they are.

Some of the animals are currently only young so you will see their progress as they grow up.

Millie and Mavis - Two white Toggenburg goats. Millie and Mavis are both twelve months, these were exceptions to our normal rescues as they were very well looked after but unfortunately the owners had to move from the country to the town and had to re-home them somewhere for life, which was with us. .

Gorse - Dapple grey Shetland stallion, Gorse is four years old, he was brought to live with us as the owner thought he had a medical problem and he also wasn't good enough to licence as a stallion. He needed a lot of TLC and required veterinary treatment and also needed seriously fattening up. He is now looking really well and will be staying with us as he is a friendly but timid chap, he will become less timid with ongoing care.

Tallulah - Known as Lou Lou, a little kitten who had been savaged by a dog, it was touch and go on whether she would lose her leg, fortunately with lots of care she is now running around. I believe after the vets bill she must be one of the most expensive kittens in the UK.

Arabella - A beautiful Felix type cat, she was orphaned as a kitten and we brought her on ourselves along with her sister, she was very weak for a long time and we didn't think she would survive, now she is five years old and one of the biggest cats we have.

Zippo - A black very timid cat was asked to be rehomed due to the owners pregnancy, we brought her home and thought she had disappeared as we couldn't find her anywhere, she was hiding, after a few months of TLC we managed to start coaxing her out of her hiding places. She is now running around enjoying life and greeting all the visitors.

Jennie - A cat that had a terrible start to life being abused she came to us with no hope of ever being rehomed to anyone else from a well known cat charity, she was terrified of everything, however after Park farm special care she is now a happy and loving member of the family and loves life, she has turned out to be quite a character.

Ascot - A ferral cat that was in a terrible state when we got her, heavily pregnant and due any minute, we ended up helping her give birth due to one of the kittens being breach, unfortunately the kittens died but their mother was in no fit state to care for them as she was so thin, she was also wild so had to be handled with gloves, she is now inside and has a room of her own to get used to living in the house, the door is not closed so she can come and go as she wishes, however with all the home comforts like a bed of her own then she seems to want to stay put. Hopefully in time she will become one of the many house cats we have and put the weight on to make her a healthy cat again.

Felix -  Felix came to us as his owner had got a dog and Felix didn't get on with the dog... He was 11 months old and settled down curled up to Medusa the bull mastiff on the second day! He is affectionate, very friendly, loves to curl up beside you and still has quite a lot of mischief in him. He is best friends with Lu lu and Ascot and they can be seen quite frequently tearing around the garden at great speed, they also follow me when I feed all the rest of the animals, making sure I am doing it properly.

Diva - Diva is a staffordshire bull terrier who has lived at the sanctuary for six years, she is a brindle and a bundle of fun, she loves to greet people and had a bad start to life by being beaten, however she has now got over this and lives a happy life. She loves to mother all the babies, regardless of what it is, she can be seen on the photos of the inmates trying to surrogate mother a lamb, she loves to fuss over anything and checks all the rest of the animals are happy and healthy.

Rascal - A three year old shetland colt, he is chestnut in colouring and has a flaxen mane and tail, he is a lovely character and will require a lot of work as he has never been handled, hopefully by the summer he will be able to be handled by some of the children that visit the sanctuary.

Kya - A three year old Northern Inuit dog, she is a cross between a Malamoot, husky and alsation. A lovable dog but wary of men and totally devoted to me, she was left in a house when the owners moved and they were unable to keep her at their present home, so she came to the sanctuary. She was very insecure but is making very good progress.

Bella - A two year old Tortie persian cat. Bella came into us with four other persian cats, they were all in a terrible state and are making progress, Bella is very affectionate and currently has quite a lot of her hair cut short, evidently the person that brought them in tried to cut the matting out of her coat. She is groomed three times a day along with the rest of them, and she is fed on Royal Canin's persian 30, she is gradually improving with lots of care.

We have many other animals available for sponsorship, just email me and let me know what type you would like to sponsor and I will let you know what is available.

We have goats, horses, ponies, rabbits, sheep, lambs, calves, dogs, cats, chinchillas, geese, ducks, and hens this does not include the non rescue poultry we have for breeding to raise money for the sanctuary, which are hens, ducks and geese, some of which are on the RSBT list. If you are interested in sponsoring any of the other animals then please contact us and we will send you details.

You can pay as much or as little as you like, it is your choice, the money you provide goes towards that animal, for feeding, vets bills, worming, de-fleaing etc. None of the money goes towards administration (that's the reason I am run ragged)  All you need to do is go to the standing order page and follow the instructions, you can also pay via paypal or cheque, it's your perogative. Also if you are a UK taxpayer don't forget to fill in the gift aid form so we can claim back 28p in the £1 from the tax man.
