Parish of Bay of Islands

Welcome From Rev. Nellie Thomas

Welcome to the Parish of Bay of Islands webpage! Firstly, I would like to thank Darlene Compagnon who is the Parish Communications Officer, for getting this site up and running. I hope you will find this site as a gate way to your Christian home and an opportunity to find what you have been searching for - a spiritual home.

I am so happy to be serving the congregations of St. James' Church in Lark Harbour and St. Ambrose' Church in John's Beach. You will find both churches to be places of love, compassion, learning, healing and growth. Everyone is welcome to come to St. James' or St. Ambrose' and meet others to find encouragement and to worship our Lord Jesus Christ.

Jesus says, "Come all you who are weary and heavy laden and I will refresh you." - Matthew 11:28
We hope you will come and you will find refreshment as you search for something that may fill your heart with Jesus' love and compassion.

If we have a relationship with Jesus, I think we can handle anything that life may throw our way better. Jesus walks with us each and everyday of our lives. If you have a void in your life, I invite you to come to Jesus and ask Him to fill that space in your heart. Jesus will bless you to face each day and equip you to minister to others His name.

As you search for Him I welcome you to join us for worship at St. James' church, Lark Harbour - the first two Sunday's of each month at 11:00 am and St. Ambrose' church, John's Beach at 7:00am. The last two Sunday's of each month - St. James' church, Lark Harbour at 7:00 pm and St. Ambrose' church, John's Beach at 10:30am. Looking forward to seeing you there. May God continue to bless you and your family.

Your friend and rector,
Nellie Thomas
