~~ DVD Volume 1 ~~

Episode 1: It's the First Story!
The story starts out on peaceful planet Di Gi Charat, where Dejiko is sitting in her room reading a book about a great man who brought happiness to many people. Gema and Puchiko, who are watching Dejiko, are suprised at how quiet she's being, until Dejiko decides to help out the people on her planet, as did the man in the book she read. Her teacher hears about this, and attempts to stop her, as she does need an education. After a chase around the castle, he finally allows her to fulfill her mission, in the form of an extended field trip.

Episode 2: It's a Strange Cake Shop!
Dejiko, Puchiko, and Gema are walking around, when they see a large line of people outside of a shop. After discovering that it is a cake shop, they go in to see why it isn't open yet. They find Rinna asleep at the front desk. As they cannot wake her, they start to bake the cakes themselves. When thier attempts fail, Rinna finally awakens and tells them the ingredient that they were missing, "baking powder of the heart". Dejiko and Rinna become friends, and she decides to close up shop for a while and travel with Dejiko.

Episode 3: Capture the Thieving Cat!
When walking down a road, a cat runs by and hits Dejiko. As if she weren't suprised already, a girl named MeeK runs by with a net. While attempting to get the cat, she gets Dejiko, and immediately runs off. Dejiko is angry, and she chases MeeK down for an apology. When she arrives at MeeK's home, a fish shop, she overhears a conversation between MeeK and her parents. MeeK has been doing her fathers job, delivering fish, and the theiving cat has been stealing from her. Dejiko and the others try to help. After failing to trap the cat, they finally see it in an alley. MeeK corners it, and as she is about to capture it, its kittens come out. Feeling bad for it, MeeK tries to get the cat off the hook by saying that Dejiko stole the fish.

Episode 4: Who's the Best Behaved Child?
It seems like an average day on planet Di Gi Charat, until a tiny panda-like spaceship lands on its surface. Piyoko and Deji Devil have arrived. Thier mission is to bring misery to the entire planet. They start by entering Piyoko in a Best Behaved Child contest. Deji Devil, knowing that all the children look up to the winner, has a plan. If Piyoko wins, and acts like a creep around town, all of the kids will do the same. Throughout the contest, Piyoko seems to be doing well, until Dejiko ties with her. They end up in the final event together, the Sitting Still Competiton. Piyoko cheats to make Dejiko lose, but things go awry for Piyoko and Deji Devil, when all they get is a year's supply of school supplies.
