Hello everybody. I am Rajendra Kumar Panthee, a PhD scholar in Rhetoric and Writing Studies at UTEP, from Nepal. I did my Master’s Degree in English literature from Tribhuvan University, Nepal. I started teaching to the Graduate students at Tribhuvan University immediately after completing my MA in the year 2000. I taught writing, linguistics, and drama to the MA students as well as supervised their dissertations. I got tenure position at the same university in 2004. While working as an Assistant Professor, I did MPhil in English from Pokhara University, Nepal in year 2006. I came to USA for my PhD in Rhetoric and Wirting Studies in the year 2009.
My research area is related to use of technology in teaching writing. I like to do a research on how the modern computer technology and multimedia have brought a dramatic revolution in the field of literacy in general and teaching of writing in particular. I have been presenting papers at national, regional as well as local conferences on the same issue since 2010 Spring. I will work on the same area/issue for my PhD dissertation.
Travelling and reading are my two hobbies. I like to travel because it provides me an opportunity to know different people, cultures, and ethnicities in world. Being an academician, reading is both my profession and hobby.
