First Impression:
Mini definitely deserved to be hosted, Congrats. The layout isn't one of her best, but still is very lovely.
Layout:
The layout is nice. There are two pictures of a model with wings. The blending is nicely done and the background is a very nice choice for the graphic. Everything seems to match perfectly and is very appealing to me. The main navigation links are interesting but not very impressive. The right column is appeared on every page, which holds a quick little opening paragraph for the site, a cbox, navigation links, a list of affiliates and at the very bottom some site status and credits, which is all very organized.
+ coding:Everything matches and looks great. The font goes well with the layout and the cbox is very intriguing to me. Nicely done, Mini.
Content:
- home:
- BLOGGING:
A blog about her life.
- TO-DO LIST:
A short to-do list.
- about:
This is slightly confusing to me. Normally something label "about" on a site usually refers to the owner, not the site, but it's not partially an error.
- SITE:
Just some basic information about the site.
- PICTURESQUE BIO:
A small interesting paragraph about the TSAAMP, which is short for Tense Soul At A Midnight's Promise. The "a" and "at" aren't really suppose to be capitalized, but Mini chooses to, which is totally acceptable, since it is her site.
- A BIT MORE INFO:
This is exactly what the title says, a bit more information about TSAAMP.
- PAST LAYOUTS:
A list of past layouts, but "Version 7" is not a past one it's her current one.
- CREDITS:
A list of credits and a list of her resources in general. I do like how Mini links to the site she specially used for her current layout.
- mini:
A section about the owner, Mini.
- WANT TO KNOW ABOUT ME?:
Perhaps it should say, "WANT TO KNOW MORE ABOUT ME?". I think Mini should italize the colons.
- RANDOM SECRETS:
A list of random facts about Mini. I found them quite entertaining.
- FAVORITES:
A list of Mini's favorite type of things such as: Drink, Food, Colour... She spelled color like colour but not favorite like favourite. Seems kind of strange to me.
- name directory:
I suppose this is useful if you're a constant reader of her blogs.
- NAME DIRECTORY:
This shows who she's referring to in her blog when she uses some sort of "code" in her blogs. I think it's a very good idea, especially if you don't want the whole world knowing your personal business. But I think this was somewhat a waste of space, perhaps Mini could put it under a different section.
- link back:
- LINK BACK:
A place where you can get a link back button for TSAAMP. They come in three sizes, which is great. And Mini says politely to upload them to your own server, which you should. Though instead of wasting a whole page for link back buttons, Mini could just put them conveniently under her list of affiliates, which can be reached by clicking the "more" link under the affiliates header.
- content:
She offers a lot of stuff.
- Blends:
She has 14 blends. They all look gorgeous, but I never understood the point of blends. A back button at the bottom of the page would be helpful.
- Colur Schemes:These are nice! I like them alot. She offers a lot of them, and none of them really look the same, which is great! But I think you can rid of the semi-colons. They're a bit distracting.
- Icons:
She has a total of 226 icons and they're sorted into categories. They look great.
- Layouts:
She could work on them, she has a lot of straight edges in some, which looks a bit tacky and some of the images look blurry.
- Scan:s
Some scans. I've seen them before in her previous layout. She has a fair amount.
- Tutorials:
Her "Image Touch-Up" tutorial is nicely worded and very helpful, but it seems kind of cluttered. Maybe she should space out the steps a bit more.
Overall:
Tense Soul at a Midnight's Promise is a great site. It's well organized and run by a polite, nice girl named Mini. I see great potential in this site but there are a few things she may want to work on, like what is really needed and what isn't. I expect great things from her.
Improvement Suggestions:
- Rid of useless pages
-Space out tutorials
-back button
