These are my movies I made with a game called The Sims 2. It's one of my
favorite hobbies! Who knows...this could lead to a career opportunity?
Here's the history of my Sims Movies: (click on the images to download the movies)
Don't Take the Girl
was my very first Sims movie as you can tell by all the plumbobs and
thought bubbles that are in view. Plus the crappy panning and zooming.
My second movie was Cat's in the Cradle (which
was requested by a friend). I had a lot of fun with this one because I
had learned so much with the first video, and I was getting better at
getting rid of all the "extras".

New Beginnings was my third movie. This movie was for the New Beginnings contest that the Sims2.com
was having. I wasn't allowed to use anything that wasn't Sims related
so the music in this one is strcitly Sims. But I had finally learned
how to get close up shots and completley get rid of all the "extras".

My fourth movie was The Internal Narrator.
With this one I worked with my friend, Aaron, as it is a Sims rendition
of his short story "The Internal Narrator." He provided the voice-overs
for me, and for the first time, I actually used sound effects.

After The Internal Narrator, I
started on two more music videos but never got them off the ground as I
got busy with college and my family. They are still in the
works as I write this.
But after a while, I felt I
needed to so SOMETHING. So I came up with a very short and VERY simple
movie. Again, taken from one of Aaron's short stories called "Melodious
Musician". It's actually a poem, and I always liked it. So here is my
rendition of Melodious Musician.

It was about this time that
Jesse Cowell (a professional film maker) approached me after seeing "Cat's in the
Cradle" and asked me if I wanted to do a recreation of a scene from Shades of Gray (warning:
There is vulgarity in this movie). I immediately JUMPED at the
opportunity! Working with him was a BLAST! I tell you
every time I thought it was perfect and it was done - he kept pushing
me. Wanting to change this and tweak that. The man is NUTS! ha ha ha
But he was great. He was open to my ideas and VERY supportive! When it
was finally completed, we dubbed it SIMS OF GRAY! This
is my most favorite as it took me the longest. This will be something I
cherish forever as it is my first movie to have real characters with
real voices, plus it was just a real neat experience! I hope you enjoy
it!

I had no particular reason for creating Have You Ever,
except that I've
had enough relationships with men that I always wanted more than a
friendship but never got the nerve to tell them. If you watch this
one...make sure you pay attention after the credits. Her fantasy comes
true.

The
following
was just a little thing I had done just to get footage of a sim, who
looks like me, dancing. When my friend Doug (our musician for The
Sponsorhood and ON3 RoOF...and also the guy who lets me host his movies
on his server) got a hold of it he ended up creating some
music for it. So it is now promoted to an official Sim Flick. Amanda Dances Sim Style (Click on link. This has no image)
In gratitude for the hosting
service (as well as being the musician for the two series I'm involved
with.....as well as making music for my sim dancing) I wanted to thank
Doug for his awesomeness. I decided to take one of his songs (one of my
favorites) and make a Sims music video to it. It was fun to make as I
tried new technical effects and was able to do some neat things. It's
called I Got My Gmail! (This is a higher resolution so it's a larger file)

I am also currently working on a new series with a group of sponsors from Rooster Teeth called
The Sponsorhood.

With DiMono (Chris Marks) heading it up, I'm working with Tasagi (Adam Henning) as
one of the machanimators (filmmakers). We just recently completed the Trailer, which is the image above.
The other Simanimated series I am working with is called ON3 RoOF.
It was created and is produced by Tasagi (Adam Henning) and he also
playes the main character: Elikhi. I am simply a voice over in this
series. I play the voice of Nicole, Alyssa's friend. I will eventually
get a picture up for this series. And I will probably give ON3 ROoF
it's own little section.
Some of my most recent projects have also been with a series called Sponsors vs Freeloaders. It's also a series that spawned from the likeness of Red vs Blue (from Rooster Teeth). In this series I play the MEDCOMP voice (which has no body yet....and doesn't apprear until Episode 7).
With my growing interest in Rooster Teeth (who uses the game Halo 2 for Red vs Blue and The Sims 2 for their series The Strangerhoood) I wanted to see if I could actually combine the two game engines to make one machinima.
My first attempt was pretty bad. Although I did get it to work. I
didn't dub it any special name or anything since it was just a test
run...but you can see it here: Sims and Halo Test.
After seeing that it COULD be done, I
tweaked more with the camera angles, worked more with the
greenscreening of the Sims, and eventually I came up with a great
convincing combination of The Sims 2 and Halo for PC. I ended up
using SvF characters, Sevenar and Kroze, and turned it into a fun
little clip in which the creator of SvF finally get to fire the
annoying Kroze. It's dubbed You're Fired! (I will work on getting an image for this later.)
So thus ends the History of my Sims movies.
Here is an extra video I did of something VERY cool!
