Palabuckachestnut Stud, where temperament is number one.

2002, the Chinese year of the horse, ‘Palabuckachestnut stud’ started out with the birth of an outstanding       Buckskin  stallion, ‘A Little Touch of Salt’, reg QH A1 7745, son of the outstanding, Salt Spring Jack Daniels. He has  proven himself again with his progeny, with great looks and temperament to die for. He is and always will be in the Pedler family.

In 2006, Julie and Jason Pedler of Palabuckachestnut Stud, near Murgon Qld, searched extensively for an  outstanding Paint stallion with temperament, conformation and colour to put through to his progeny. After 12 months investigation, Julie chose Colourite Happy Replica above all others. At the time, Colorite Happy Replica had already produced many successful and colourful winning progeny in Australia. The paint stallion, Colorite Happy Replica Reg 7214 was born on 28th of October 2002 at the stud Colorite paints horse stud at Berrinba QLD. His sire, the Toledo Joe stallion, Dreamweaver Jumanji Boy carries the lines of Juco imp, Hill King Pistol imp, Warlord & Bueno Bandit imp just on his sire’s side. Ned’s dam, is a black QH mare, Lady Hamilton by Commanders Nelson (iiu) out of a mare by Cutter Glo (Crimson Glo imp x Cutters Choice imp). Ned, as he is affectionately known, is an eye catching 15hh black and white Tobero stallion with great conformation, gorgeous head, huge hip and strong shoulders with good legs and wonderful movement.  Ned throws awesome looks and movement onto his progeny, which makes him a sought after sire for producing Champion halter and ridden horses. This season will be Ned’s first season to offer AI to paint Australia.

The stud strives for the ultimate mare care. They can even help with transport concerns as well with Julie’s triple  horse float serving the inland Burnett area. Julie’s daughter, Serena helps out with the showing and has had success showing her cute palomino filly by ‘Salty’ out of a mare that was bred by Sylva Springs, ‘With Fantasy’. (Booribindi Trailblazer x Hollywood Hoges)
