...v i n c e n t  a s  h e  i s  n o w...

Here, I will try to go into detail of Vincent's personality.  It may be short so don't hate me people.  This is from my own observations so it may suck cause I stink at putting things into words(and yet I'm making this website....nice, Carmen, nice.)

Also, there is a new thing called "S i d e  t h o u g h t."  This is just a random thought that comes to mind either from playing the games or from nothing in particular.  It's normally just to get you thinking.

If you have watched Final Fantasy 7: Advent Children, then you know that he seems to have a weak spot for kids(why would he let Marlene hide under his cloak if not.)  It's hard to completely explain Vincent's personality due to the fact everyones not just black and white and so neither is Vincent(that's just how well they designed their characters.)  And also everyone's got their own beliefs of his character.

So obviously we will not know fully how he acts but I will try to explain it as best as I can(and plus he's not real so yeah).

Vincent is very independent, and if anyone told you other wise then their either crazy, or just don't know his character and are just trying to impress you with their not-so-world-wide-knowledge-in-fact-they-probably-can't-even-pick-out-their-own-clothes...*ahem* anyways....the point is he's independent and that he thinks for himself.

He's got a good head on his shoulders(attached to the neck) and he proves it.  He can think of things quickly, and can sence things other people can't.  He keeps a low profile and though a hero he seems to have trouble with the fact of going out of his way to help someone(as seen in DOC).  Therefore we can conclude that even though he's a hero, he doesn't like the lime light and would probably rather read a good book or stare depressingly out a window because he can.

S i d e  t h o u g h t: Does anyone notice that in Dirge of Cerberus, that Vincent's(though voiced by the same man) voice changes when he is a Turk and after he's a Turk?  If you haven't, go play DOC again and pay close attention to when he talks.  I feel that they did this on purpose(you would hope anyway, XD) because they wanted to show how Vincent's burdens and struggles changed when he got older compared to when he was younger.  Like the lighter, less gruf voice from his Turk days represented almost a carefree moment in life, while his older voice, as he is now, in a way portrays a heavier, more depressing, dark mood.  That's what I think anyways.  Did I bore you to death? lol.

Vincent is a deep thinker and when possible(he seems to be quite busy saving people) he digests everything.  On the negitive side of things Vincent seems to be very un-trusting of others and has very few friends(though half of this is probably from the things that have accured in his life time.)  The friends he does have are very close to him and though he barely shows it, he would defend them till the death.

I'm sure Vincent would not hang around someone he doesn't at least tolerate(even Yuffie people.)  He doesn't seem to be the "sociable" type and I doubt he likes to "party" a lot(and besides who is he going to party with? His imaginary friend known only as "fluffy"?)  Vincent is very mature and keeps his cool about almost anything.  There are rare accurances when he gets pissed off, but other than that he's normally as blank as a stone wall.

But it seems through it all, VIncent has over-come it.  He has endured much over his 57 year life, and he will probably endure more.  I'm sure there are many things he keeps inside and to himself that only he will know about, and though he once loved someone, it seems to have faded with time and now he respects her as a great scientist.  The choices he's made have made him who he is today.  It just goes to show that not everything is as it seems on the surface...

"...Love, hate, sadness, and joy....faith and freedom, persacution and death, life, and chains that bind....life is a roller coaster and only a select few will make it to the end.  This is just how life works....and so it is with friends you meet.  You'll lose some, you'll gain some, and some will just drift away.  You'll have ups and downs but that's life.  The choices we make define who we are and who we will be.  Remember that it's not the end of the journey that matters, but the people and the memories you made along it."
