PTC means paid to click ie you get paid to click links. Sounds amazing dosent it? How do I avoid scams?
OK this is pretty simple fist look at the site's ad rates if the rates cayse the owner to lose money then its definitely a scam.
An example of this would be a site that advertises paying you $0.05 per click and advertisers pay $10.00 per 1000 hits $0.05x 1000=$50 meaning the site loses $40 paying you!!
Also look for forums sites without forums are scams %90 of the time
About refferals..
Referrals are the best way to explode your earnings in these sites. you could join ads only sites like..
Remember though you can only redeem your earnings for ads
Also traffic exchanges are a good way to get a few referrals
I use the following:
1:1 surf ratio ie you get one visitor for every site you view great for getting some referrals
Guaranteed referral sites are the most sure fire way of getting referrals
The above is my favorite of them getting a referral there will take no time at all
