General Information
Before you continue, please read the following.
The following are the general rules and requirements needed in order to qualify for any scholarship that we offer. You must meet all requirements listed and complete the application in order to be considered for a scholarship. Deadlines are posted with each scholarship application and must be recieved and/or postmarked by said date. Failure to do so will disqualify you from that particular scholarship and you must reapply for any other scholarships for later in the year.
All applicants who meet all said requirements will have a careful review of their application and will be notified upon receiving or not receiving a scholarship. Scholarship checks will be mailed to the parent or legal guardian of said winner of scholarship upon determination, only if the scholarship holder is under the age of 21, all other scholarship winners of age 21 or older will be receiving their scholarship check directly to them. All scholarship checks will be made payable to the educational instituion marked upon the application, if said education institute has changed since the time of application was completed and mailed a form must then be submitted to the Scholarship Committee in due time before check is issued.
Scholarships do not need to be paid back, however, since we are low on funding we request that scholarship winners donate a small donation upon completion of college term(s) and/or within 5 years of the date of scholarship check issued. The donation requested shall be in the amount of $5.00 to any amount there after choosen by the Scholarship winner. If there is a failure in which the Scholarship winner does not donate the requested amount a letter needs to be received from the scholarship winner indicating the reason why a donation was not sent to the scholarship fund, this letter needs to be in by the five year anniversary date of which the date of the check was issued with an explaination. We do not require any scholarship winner to donate to the scholarship fund, we do request it out of courtesy, a letter of explaination is a for us to determine what faults we may have had in determining or providing funds to scholarship winners.
