Padgate Lane WRD is a 4mm 00 DCC Operated Layout, based on the North West of England in the halcyon days of the early 1980s.

 01/05/08 - Two more shows under the belt, with appearences at Heywood and Tottington High Schoo.

11/03/08 - A few more exhibition appearences confirmed for 2007 - with a 'short notice' appearence at the HMRG Show this weekend. More info on www.hmrg.co.uk

27/01/08 - Padgate Lane has been back at Crewe this weekend as part of the 'Cheshire Railway Modellers' exhibition. A great weekend was had by all - for more details see the Cheshire Railway Modellers Website!

16/01/08 - Site update now complete - exhibition in Crewe just over a week away!

15/01/08 - Sorry for the lack of updates! These are being worked on as the site is undergoing a MAJOR overhaul.

28/09/07 - After a month of inactivity, a few new locos have arrived on shed, and a few more exhibition appearences confirmed! New shots on the loco page. The LYDCC Exhibition page is regularly updated as and when things happen - with 23 layouts and cracking trade support, why not take a look?

20/08/07 - Padgate Lane was on show at Crewe Heritage Centre yesterday, a report is available here http://www.rmweb.co.uk/forum/viewtopic.php?t=6880 Some photos will be uploaded shortly. Also, the layout now has an official 2008 Exhibition booking, and 2 more 'potential appearences'.

07/08/07 - No 'gen' to report i'm afraid! Lots of work going on behind the scenes however - hopefully giving me something to add here soon!

02/07/07 - Site cleaned up here and there - stocklist and loco photos amended, and the layout will be back at Crewe 'Railway Age' for the August 19th 'Sunday Funday'.

14/06/07 - Padgate Lane had a sucessful show at the Midland Railway Butterley this weekend - some minor problems encountered have been solved during the week. After some thought, the era of the layout will now change from the Mid 1970s to Mid 1980s, allowing operation of different types in more livery varieties, such as Class 31, 47 and very occasionally Class 56! Keep an eye on this site - a 'stocklist' will be uploaded soon.

27/05/07 - Padgate Lane appearing at LYDCC Group's first exhibition on 20/21st October - Details on exhibtion page. Layout will also be at the 'Modelling Weekend' at the Midland Railway - Butterley on Sunday June 10th.

06/05/07 - Padgate Lane has been on show at the 'Sunday Funday' at Crewe Heritage Centre today - some photos are uploaded on the 'Pics' section of the site.
