Report: Scenery, wildlife, side-trips, obstacles, points of interest, lunch stop details
A Freeport couple stopped by Brewster Landing to watch us launch. They recently bought a used aluminum canoe. He has been pounding out the dents and would be ready for a test paddle soon. They are anxious to join one of our paddles. Not much wildlife on the trip. Jamie’s LiquidLogic Kayak is only 2 weeks old. She enjoyed putting a few more miles on it. We talked a lot and shared paddling stories. My, how time flies when you’re having fun.
The remnants of the 2 old Fisher Dams caused a few ripples and some fast water for about 5 seconds each.
Even tho I have paddled this river segment a few times, it is rewarding and fun to share the trip with new paddlers.
IT DOESN’T GET ANY BETTER THAN THIS!
