Ozark Mountain Bass Club will have a Late Fall / Winter tournament schedule this year. These are not mandatory tournaments and there are no points involved. I wanted to do this so that we could have some competitive tournaments for those of us that enjoy fishing throughout the entire year. I am hoping that we can increase our membership for 2010 by allowing others outside of Ozark Mountain an opportunity to fish. Pass the word to anyone that might want to join us. This is not a pay-it-forward program as we normally do for the tournament year. $40 a boat and Big Bass is optional for those that are willing to kick in $5 a man. 2 man team and I'm thinking that we'll fish Lomond and Beaver in November, and then we'll turn our focus over to Swepco when the temperatures come way down. There might be some opportunities to fish Beaver in January if we have some nice weather like we did this past winter. Check back later for the schedule as I have to have approval from the POA when we fish Bella Vista.
Hey guys, was approached the other day with a great idea. Some of you may be very interested in scheduling a jackpot tournament where you fish with your wife, your girlfriend, or one of your kids. I think this would be a lot of fun for everyone. $20 a boat winner takes all. I was thinking that we could do this one saturday afternoon before the weather turns hot on us. I know my wife wouldn't want to fish when it's blazing hot out there. Let me know what you think.
Hey guys, just wanted to touch on a couple of things with you. Please let myself or one of the other board members know if you are unable to attend a tournament. This will help me adjust the payouts for each tournament. Or, please let me know if you are having to find a replacement for a specific tournament. I just want to make sure that we're on the same page and that we're not calling you the morning of a tournament to make sure that you've not run into some mechanical problems on the side of the road and we catch you asleep at home. Let me know if you have any questions.
Here is a quick reminder concerning points and attendance. If you miss a tournament and want to fish the classic, you are required to pay the $5.00 classic fee for each tournament missed. There is one stipulation to missing a tournament though. You will not receive last place points if you pay your $5.00 for missing a tournament. The points awarded will be based on a percentage of pay. The total required entry fee is $50.00. If you pay $5.00, then you will be awarded 5 points. I needed to clarify that for anyone that was wondering. Please let the board know if you have any questions.
Ozark Mountain Bass Club was founded as and will operate as a non-profit organization. Board members are John Haynie, Kevin Smith, and Gary Young.
