Rusty Old Road Vehicles

Here we have a selection of tattered old trucks, of the kind that The Editor is very fond.

First, the former editorial saloon, in the garage while minor repairs are undertaken. This was a 1957 Series I Land Rover that started its life with the Civil Defence Authority at Chelsea Barracks.

This was replaced by the current editorial saloon, a 1972 Series III.

And next we have another 1957 Series I, a close relative of the former editorial saloon, being an ex-Civil Defence vehicle. This was photographed at Aston Clinton in 2007.

And a really atmospheric old chugger, in the form of this French cattle truck, also photographed at Aston Clinton.
