Wow! Where have I been? It seems to have been a while since I've last worked on the game (let alone update this site).
Anyhow, I do have a few things to tell you, if you don't mind. (This information has been released elsewhere before here, so some may have already heard it.)

First off on the list, I'd like to proudly announce that Ive managed to find a wonderful sound system to play the music that comes with the game, while at the same time eliminating the possiblity of a larger file due to placing the songs directly into the file! This system is called the FMOD Sound System and was introduced to me by a nice member of the Game Maker Community Forums, Icuurd24! I am greatly in your debt! (Before I added the sound system, the game played the .MP3 files with scratchy sounds, but now they're all clear!)

Next up, I'd like to mention that I've found more updated versions of the Damizean 360* Sonic Engine that includes a Spindash, Ring Loss, and an extended Animation System! Unfortunately, this means that I've got to spend time changing the code in my version of the engine, because the newer one uses different variables for motion and such. It doesn't appear to be too hard.

Continuing on, I'd like to mention that the future Demo/Beta release of the game should include the following:
-A Spindash System
-A Ring Loss System
-An added Tension Gauge for the Boost
-Neon Playable
-The FMOD Sound System and Original Music by myself
-A Newer Main Screen for the Demo
-A Brand-New Beta Level
-And, most importantly, A FIXED LOOP SYSTEM!

Now, I leave you to think this over. In my part of the world, we've got Winter Break for the next two weeks, so hopefully I'll get things going by then!

SO, I have something for you.
And, while I have just now noticed that even my inactive links in the navigation do not have a place for this, I have some music for you.

"Emeralds' Power"-Transformation music for Sonic: Overdrive

What is this, exactly? Why, it's music, silly! (Which, even as I type this update, I have now added an inactive link to this page.)
This is the transformation music, found in the Last Story of Sonic: Overdrive. This scene involves the transformation of two pairs of characters: Sonic and Tails as well as Blaze and Neon. Yes, even NEON gets a transformation. (Don't worry, these guys aren't the only ones you play as in the Final Story- You'll get to play as Knuckles and the others as well!)
This is only Version 1 of the song. If I get any input for everyone else that it needs to be changed, I'll work around with it and improve it.

This music was made in and used instruments from GarageBand (by Apple)
And yes, this was all 100% original music made by myself.

Enjoy it! I'll get up other music soon!

Hey, guys.

Guess who?
If you couldn't already guess by the unfamiliarity of him to the rest of the Sonic crew, it's Neon the Hedgehog. This is simply a snapshot of him in the testing level for Sonic: Overdrive. Hopefully you'll get to see more of him soon!

All right, people. I have WONDERFUL news for you all!
First off, I want to talk about my excitement for the game. You see, I had lost my Game Maker 5/6 Registration key, and the email that had the lost keys sent to it no longer works. So, I finally decided to ask the helpdesk at YoYo games to solve my problem, as I was originally unsure of whether they could be trusted. Apparently, I made the right decision. I explained about my email and that I needed my key.
I had done this all of two days ago. It was only today, after returning home from school, that I got the email saying that my helpdesk ticket had been replied to. Inside, I found the key for my GM6 registration! I was so excited that I nearly feel off my chair. I hurriedly exchanged it for a GM7 key, and then in no time flat I'd put the key into Game Maker and ended up with the Game Maker Pro version. This is VERY good.
Now, the code that was no longer testable nor usable from the file that I'd used in GM6 previously can now be used and edited to my desires. And I didn't even need to buy a new key! That's $20 staying in my pocket!
In short, Sonic: Overdrive can now continue progress in the most important part of the game- the programming itself!

The other news for today is that I've changed the part of the page that was originally here to the "FAQ" part of the site. The link is now usable for you to get there and read it.
