The Story

MGS2 SONS OF LIBERTY-Platforms:PS2

Tanker- August 8th, 2007...Since the incident on Shadow Moses Island, Metal Gear's top-secret technology has been leaked into the black market through the machinations of Revolver Ocelot. As a result, countless variations of Metal Gears have sprung up in every corner of the globe, making the weapon an increasingly common component of the armed forces of nuclear powers. In the midst of all of this, Solid Snake, now a member of the anti-Metal Gear group "Philanthropy," has learned that a new prototype Metal Gear has been developed by the U.S. Marines and is being transported in secret to an unknown destination.. To learn more about this new machine, Snake must infiltrate the transport, disguised as a tanker, as it makes its way down the Hudson River. Just as Snake is about to begin his mission, however, the ship is seized by a mysterious and well-armed group bent on stealing the new Metal Gear for their own, nefarious purposes. It was actually a hangar for the new Metal Gear Ray. Before it was taken over by Revolver Ocelot and his partner Gurlukovich, it was controlled by the Marines. Gurlukovich wanted it to use it for the rise of Russia but Ocelot wanted it to sell it. After the confrontation, Scott Dolph (Marine Commandant) and Gurlukovich is killed. Ocelot then took Ray and sank the tanker along with Snake.

Plant- April 29th, 2009...Two years have passed since the sinking of the tanker that Snake infiltrated. The "Big Shell" which is a huge offshore cleanup facility constructed off New York's coast. Now, this symbol of environmental preservation, has been occupied by an armed group calling themselves "Sons of Liberty." The President, who was on a tour to inspect the facility at the time, has been taken hostage, and they have set large amounts of explosives, demanding a large sum of money from the government in return for his release. If the explosives are detonated, the explosions will lead to the release of huge amounts of chemical toxins into the sea, unleashing a massive environmental disaster which would be the worst in history. Faced with an unprecedented state of crisis, the government has called on the newly reformed Fox-Hound to handle the situation. Fox-Hound agent Raiden must singlehandedly infiltrate the Big Shell and carry out this sneaking mission as his first actual mission.

As he continues on with his mission, he finds out there is another agent working besides him. He goes by the name of Iroquois Pliskin an alias used by Solid Snake who supposedly died in the tanker accident two years back. Snake and Otacon arrived there alongside Seal Team 6 to retrieve the President, the hostages and the football (a suitcase with nuclear detonation codes). This new terrorist act is being led by the former president George Sears, a team of highly powered individuals called Dead Cell and more of Gurlukovich's soldiers but his unit is now being run by his daughter, Olga. Soon enough, Seal Team 6 is wiped out. Later on, Raiden and Plissken meets up with Peter Stillman, a retired bomb disposal expert and also came in with Seal Team 6. Bombs have been placed on the Big Shell by Deadcell's bomb expert who goes by the name of Fatman. After he is defeated and all the bombs have been disarmed, the disarming was a trick and parts of the struts were destroyed along with Peter. Later on, Raiden finds a girl named Emma Emmerich, Otacon's sister that has a virus to rupture the A.I. of a giant Metal Gear Ray hangar called Arsenal Gear. Later she is killed by Dead Cell's Vamp. Raiden also has to find Richard Ames who is the head of the secret service and has info on where the president is being hid but dies of something that looks like what the FoxDie virus did. Soon enough, the hostages are save but one set back is that the President Johnson was soon killed. Before his death he revealed to Raiden info about the Patriots.

Along his way, Raiden comes across Plissken and an exoskeleton that resembles Gray Fox but really is Olga. They knock him out, not betraying but using him as bait to get into Arsenal Gear. While in the torture room which resembles the one used on Shadow Moses Island. In there Raiden gets choked by the tentacles on the suit of Solidus Snake (George Sears). It is soon revealed that Raiden is Solidus Snake's son. Stripped of his clothes, Olga lets him free, making his way through Arsenal Gear, he meets up with Solid Snake. During that time, the Colonel starts acting crazy on the codec and turns out Raiden actually talking to nobody. They fight their way through and Raiden has to fight multiple Ray's himself. After destroying them, he is knocked out and is taken away by Solidus along with Solid Snake. Solidus soon kills both Olga and Dead Cell's lady luck Fortune. Olga already delivered her child and remanded in the Patriot's custody, so the child wasn't killed along with Olga. Raiden then has an epic battle with his father, Solidus Snake after Arsenal Gear crashed into Federal Hall in Manhattan. After his death, Snake then states he will find Olga's baby, a promise he made before Olga's death. The operation was basically a VR mission to Raiden called the S3 Plan. The Big Shell was scripted, as described by Ocelot, but as a test for the A.I. to take actions accordingly to extreme circumstances. Raiden and Solidus were chosen because their relationship resembles the one between Snake and Big Boss, how Fortune was protected by secret technology developed by the Patriots, etc, in order to recreate Shadow Moses because "given the right situation, the right story, anybody can be shaped into Solid Snake". In the end, Otacon says the Patriots are located in Manhattan but the twelve members died 100 years ago.

The Characters

Metal Gear Solid 2 Sons Of Liberty (New York, 2007-2009)

Solid Snake- The Legendary Solid Snake who joined "Philanthropy" with Otacon after the Shadow Moses incident. His mission was to infiltrate an oil tanker to investigate the new Metal Gear Ray being developed by the Marines to guard against the proliferation of Rexes.

Hal Emmerich aka Otacon- Formerly the leader of the Metal Gear Rex development project, but since the Shadow Moses incident, he has joined with Snake to form "Philanthropy", an organization dedicated to destroy any new Metal Gears.

Sergei Gurlukovich- Leader of a private Russian army. He and his army take over the tanker containing Metal Gear Ray. He wishes to bring Russia back to power with Ray. An ex member of Spetsnaz and partner of Revolver Ocelot to take control of Ray only to be fooled and killed by Ocelot.

Olga Gurlukovich- Sergei's daughter. Shows great potential as a soldier, and has been raised in Sergei's army as one of its soldiers since she was a small child. She survived the sinking of the tanker and comes back to the Big Shell pretending to be on Ocelot's side but is actually seeking revenge on him for the death of her father.

Revolver Ocelot aka Shalashaska- Former Fox-Hound member whose motive is to capture Metal Gear Ray and to sell it on the Black Market. He is  an expert in handguns and is still armed with his favorite weapon the Colt Single Action Army handgun. He is now working with Solidus Snake in the Big  Shell.

Scott Dolph- Commandant of the Marine Corps. He wishes to use Metal Gear Ray to bring a new world order but the real reason was to guard against the proliferation of Rexes. He was later killed along with the Marines on the tanker by Ocelot. He is also the father of Helena Dolph aka Fortune, a member of Dead Cell.

Raiden- A member of the special forces unit Fox-Hound, Raiden has no experience in real-life combat situations, but his skills as a soldier have been honed to the highest levels through VR simulation training. The infiltration of the Big Shell is his first actual mission. He then joins Snake and Otacon later on in Big Shell. He is the child of Solidus Snake. Like Snake, he also kills his father. In my opinion, he is the grandson of Big Boss.

Roy Campbell- Strategic commander of the Fox-Hound special forces unit. Commands the mission to infiltrate the Big Shell, and supports Raiden over the codec. He turns out not to be the Colonel and is actually nothing to Raiden, he was just an A.I. This was proven in Arsenal Gear when his messages of the codec went haywire.

Rose- Raiden's girlfriend. She is employed by the army as a data analyst, and supports Raiden in his mission by saving mission data via the codec. She actually turns out to be an informant for the Patriots and was ordered to act as a loved one in order to gain information, she stated that she tried to follow her orders, but failed to, and truly fell in love with him instead, ultimately leading to her physical bond with him as well as the future birth of their child, which was not part of her mission.

Vamp- Dead Cell member. A Romanian that is very skilled with knives. He is also bisexual as seen from his relationship with Scott Dolph and Fortune. It seems that Vamp is a sort of supernatural being, as he can dash across, or even stand upon water, run up vertical walls, and he survived being shot in the head-in his own words, he can't "Die Twice". His name does not mean a short form of vampire; it refers to his bisexuality.

Helena Dolph aka Fortune- Dead Cell member. Just like her name, she has a lot of luck on the battlefield in a sense that she seems to deflect bullets away from her in the battlefield. She is the child of Scott Dolph and wife of Colonel Jackson, founder of Dead Cell. She could not cope with the death of her father, mother, husband and baby. In her search for vengeance, of the thought that Snake killed her father, she joined the armed forces. She was quickly assigned to Dead Cell. Fortune was one of the Dead Cell members who survived its liquidation.

Fatman- Dead Cell member. An explosives expert wearing a bomb blast suit. Fatman was the obsessive compulsive son of a clockmaker, and this tendency and background give him an almost preternatural understanding of bombs. At the age of ten he built an atomic bomb (the Fat Man model) based on designs he had downloaded from the internet. After spending a time with Peter Stillman learning about bomb disposal techniques, he joined Dead Cell as a bomb disposal specialist. He was also recruited by The Patriots as a sleeper agent.

Solidus Snake- Former President George Sears during the Shadow Moses incident. He is the one behind the Big Shell incident and is the head of Dead Cell. He is the son of Big Boss from the Les Enfants Terrible project and inherited both dominant and recessive genes which made him a duplicate of the Boss. He is also the father of Raiden. After his the events of Shadow Moses, he lost his trust to the Patriots forcing him to go underground to avoid assassination from them. He is equipped with a powered exoskeleton that provides him with "superhuman motor skill capabilities" and is resistant to damage. His motive is to pose as Solid Snake, then seizes the Big Shell and takes President Johnson hostage, in an attempt to gain control of Arsenal Gear and disrupt the Patriots' flow of information.

Iroquois Pliskin- An unknown Navy Seal who goes by the name Iroquois Pliskin who is mysteriously working around Big Shell trying to take down Dead Cell and Metal Gear Ray. Hmm I wonder who this can be. This is actually Snake using the alias Iroquois Pliskin which is in reference to Snake Plissken, the main character in Escape From New York and Escape From L.A.

Emma Emmerich aka EE- Otacon's sister. Genius in the field of computers. She is in charge of developing the A.I. that would control Metal Gear Ray. After the take over of Big Shell she was taken prisoner. She was eventually recruited by the Patriots and set to work on programming a highly advanced A.I. called G.W., which would be used by the Patriots to control the flow of information and the imparting of memes between the generations. She stopped talking to Hal who was her brother because when she almost drowned in her pool as a child her father died trying to save her so she blamed him for not trying to save her and her father's death.

Peter Stillman- Retired bomb disposal expert. He is known as the man regarded as one of the experienced experts of bomb disposal. He was sent in to Big Shell with SEAL Team to defuse bombs Fatman had placed. He then joined in with Raiden and Pliskin and got them to defuse bombs as well. Before the Big Shell incident Stillman was called in to diffuse a terrorist bomb in a famous church and during the disposal, he accidentally triggered the bomb. The church was blown up along with a few children. Even with all his experience, he couldn't stop the bomb. Stillman couldn't bare to face the public and families of the people who were lost in the explosion, so he faked being injured by the blast and said he lost a leg in the explosion.

President Johnson- The current President of the United States who is held hostage in the Big Shell in the hands of Dead Cell. He was the holder of the "football" which was a suitcase with launch and detonation codes for a nuclear weapon. After he was captured by Dead Cell, the football was seized along with him.

Richard Ames- The head of the President's secret service. He has been taken hostage in Big Shell and when Ocelot comes to get him, knowing his true identity, he dies in a fashion reminiscent of the FOXDIE virus. He is one of the few people in the game who know about the existence of Arsenal Gear, the giant battle tank, and the Patriots, the real control force behind the U.S.

Ninja aka Mr X- A mysterious figure who goes by the name Mr X outfitted in an exoskeleton also trying to bring down Big Shell and Metal Gear Ray working with Iroquois Pliskin. This is actually Olga. She was in fact working against her own men as an agent of the Patriots, her mission being to ensure the success of Raiden, a test subject of the S3 plan. So as to accomplish her mission, she was disguised as a ninja at times, so that she could intervene without her cover being blown. Her suit bore a striking similarity to that of Gray Fox, and she too was capable of using a katana to deflect bullets.

The Patriots

The Patriots are presided over by a council of twelve individuals that is known as the "Wisemen's Committee". It is unknown if there is any more depth to their organization than this in terms of hierarchy; however, the Patriots have numerous spies and agents spread throughout the government agencies of the USA. The President of the United States himself is subordinate to them; available information suggests that one must be an agent of the Patriots in order to become President. The fictional Commandant of the Marine Corps, Scott Dolph, knew of their existence, having referred to them as the "La-li-lu-le-lo." A man named "Richard Ames", who was identified as a Secret Service agent, a member of the DIA, and given the rank of "Colonel" at one point, was an agent of the Patriots before his death. Revolver Ocelot is another Patriot spy. There have also been numerous theories about their origin, since the only piece of information available is at the ending of the game itself when they converse with the main character through his codec. The Patriots insinuate that they are not quite... human. They appear to have all the characteristics of a disembodied computer AI, but claim to have existed for 200 years as a consciousness developed in the "primordial soup" of the White House. Near the end of Metal Gear Solid 2, they appear as a skull-like visage that briefly flashes on and off in the middle of a codec conversation.

The Real Patriots
There has been speculation by fans that the Patriots are a reference to the Skull and Bones, a secret society at Yale University and/or to the Patriot Act due to the powers it gives to the United States government. Both are notable for their connection to George W. Bush. However, as the project was in development before the majority of his Presidency, it's unlikely that Kojima is making a political statement. Nevertheless, the Arsenals AI is called GW. It has been speculated that this refers either to George Washington or George W. Bush, with a considerable acceptance of the community towards George Washington. The JFK system is also named in MGS2. Being that JFK is the initials of his entire name, GW would have to refer to an entire name, or George Washington.

Agents Of The Patriots
Revolver Ocelot- Known highest-ranked agent of the Patriots. He supervised the S3 plan and recovered the Legacy.
Solidus Snake (George Sears)-Turns on Patriots.
Richard Ames- Ames was killed by his own nanomachines during the Big Shell incident as part of the S3 plan.
Raiden (Jack)
Rosemary
Jim Houseman
Olga Gurlukovich
Fatman

Resemblance

Kurt Russel from The Thing & Snake from Metal Gear Solid 2
They both have the same hair, mustache, beard and facial expression.
Its very possible Snake was modeled after Kurt in this game
Also in Metal Gear Solid 2 there was Snake's alias- Snake Plissken who's name was took after...Kurt in Escape From New York and LA.

Facts

The original plot was supposed to take place in Iran and Iraq and the story would've focused on nuclear weapons inspections. The story was that Metal Gear was rumored to be hidden behind closed doors and inspectors were being denied access. A Metal Gear type was being transported by an aircraft carrier which must be stopped within a certain time limit. The ones who showed up to hijack the ship is no other than Liquid Snake and his crew. Then, a half a year into making the game, war broke out and the Middle Eastern conflict heated up again, so that particular plot was scrapped.

The game's plotline was inspired by a newspaper article Hideo Kojima read about the US Government shutting down the popular music sharing site Napster. The S3 Plan was also inspired by George Orwell's "1984".

The character of Peter Stillman was originally written to be a younger version of the Ed Brown character from Policenauts, one of Hideo Kojima's earlier games. In Policenauts, Ed used to be a bomb disposal expert similar to Stillman before being transferred over to the Narcotics division to work with Jonathan. Shôzô Îzuka, who voiced Stillman in the Japanese version of Metal Gear Solid 2, previously voiced Ed in Policenauts.

Hideo Kojima  originally wanted to use the title "Metal Gear Solid III" for the immediate sequel to Metal Gear Solid. According to the original Japanese "Game Plan" featured in _Document of Metal Gear Solid 2, the idea of using the number III was based on the New York skyline, and Kojima wanted to confuse his public a bit by skipping a number. This idea was immediately discarded.

Quinton Flynn was not allowed to talk about his role as Raiden, to maintain complete security.

The script, written by Hideo Kojima, was over 800 pages long.

During a visit to a New York City Police Station in 1999, Yoji Shinkawa, dressed up in a bomb suit, a piece of equipment which later served as the inspiration for the design of the Character Fatman.

Some of the exchanges of dialogue between Jack and Rose are based on those between Hideo Kojima and his wife. For example, before they got married, she would always ask him what day it was. Once, when they had a date, he completely forgot about it. This is what Rose's continuous asking Jack "what day tomorrow is" is taken from.

Solid Snake's arrival on the tanker containing Metal Gear Ray is similar to the Terminator's arrival in Terminator 2: Judgment Day; both Snake and The Terminator get up from kneeling on one knee, and both arrive in a flurry of electrical beams.

In order to get the whole production team more involved in the incorporation of ideas into the game, Hideo Kojima produced notebooks for the whole team to write their ideas in. After each day, Hideo would see which idea he liked and tested it out to see if it could be programmed in. The Coolant spray and the sneak peak move are just a few of these successful ideas.

The character design of Vamp was based on Joaquín Cortés, a famous Spanish flamenco dancer. Vamp dances in the flamenco style during the fight with Raiden in Shell 2.

Hideo Kojima supposedly rushed to have the game finished before the end of 2001, because 2001 is the Year of the Snake on the Chinese calendar (hence the tagline).

The fictional "Dead Cell" organization used in the game is in fact a thinly veiled imitation of the real-life "Red Cell" naval team. As in the game, they functioned to test naval security and were involved in counter-terrorist activities before they were disbanded.

The names of the characters Jack and Rose were taken from the main characters of Titanic. This film also influenced the decision to set the first chapter of the game on a sinking tanker.

Many characters represent playing cards. Solidus is a "King", Fortune is a "Queen", Raiden is a "Jack", and Solid Snake is an "Ace" in the hole.

The name of the oil tanker Snake infiltrates is the Discovery-another reference to 2001: A Space Odyssey.

Snake's alias, Pliskin, comes from Kurt Russel's character, Snake Plissken, in Escape From New York and Escape From L.A.

The Marine Commandant is named after Scott Dolph, who is Konami's international translation manager.

The programmers, artists, and game designers had to undergo a series of lectures and real-world counter-terrorism mission simulations in order to perfect the artificial intelligence routines for the enemy soldiers.

A Clearer View

Raiden's field commander was named Daniel Quinn ("Colonel"). His support team consisted of Maxine "Max" Wark, an Asian woman who saves game data and quotes Shakespeare, and William "Doc" Wilson, the creator of GW. All three would turn out to be A.I.s.

There were two additional members of Dead Cell, Old Boy and the Chinaman. Old Boy was Dead Cell's strategist and a former Nazi general, and was over 100 years old. The Chinaman was an expert in martial arts, and used most of Vamp's bullet parrying moves. Both were cut from the game, Old Boy early on (later becoming The End), the Chinaman later. The only place to see them is the animated footage of "The Liquidation Of Dead Cell."

Liquid Snake, controlling Revolver Ocelot, activates Arsenal Gear's navigation system and sets the target as Federal Hall. This detail is never explained in the game, possibly for the same reason that the following scenes were removed.

A scene depicting Arsenal Gear's displacement of the Statue of Liberty and half of Manhattan was removed following the events of September 11th, 2001.

A short coda was to appear after the credits, a breaking newscast showing the Statue of Liberty's new resting place, Ellis Island. The anchorwoman in this piece would've been Karen Hôjô, the heroine from Hideo Kojima's Policenauts.

Solidus was the 43rd President, and James Johnson is the 44th.

Early concept art shows that Vamp was initially conceived as a woman, while Peter Stillman was originally planned to be a younger version of Ed Brown, also from Policenauts.

The AI speaking to Raiden during the final codec conversation is not GW, but another AI named JFK.

Many of the guards patrolling the Big Shell were part of a Secret Service security detail (in actuality, a private army) created by Solidus during his presidency. This detail was most likely cut so as to reduce the number of voices used by soldiers.

Both Ames and President Johnson initially thought Raiden was an assassin sent in by the Patriots to dispose of the President.

The Ninja tells Raiden she works for the Patriots, but Raiden's internal nanomachines retranslate it as "La-li-lu-le-lo," thus implying certain people are programmed not to be able to say or to hear "the Patriots."

All three Snakes are (or were) undergoing advanced aging as a result of the cloning process.

Both Iroquois Pliskin and Rose were to have blonde hair- Pliskin's dyed to cover his identity, and Rose's as her natural color.

As a child, Raiden took part in the Liberian Civil War.

Three additional game modes were planned that didn't make it to the final game: a Bomb Disposal mode (side-missions set in the Tanker and Plant stages where the player must locate and defuse Fatman's bombs), a Mantis Mask mode (where the player can read other characters' thoughts and detect their lies) and a two-player versus mode. The Bomb Disposal missions were later integrated into Metal Gear Solid 2: Substance.

The Arsenal Gear stage was designed to be much longer than it was in the finished game. One of the proposed areas was a temple wherein the player fought against Vamp (in the original plan, Chinaman appears in the Shell 2 Core filtration chamber instead of Vamp).

Quotes

Solidus Snake: Good luck.
Fortune: Thanks, but I already have quite enough of that.

(Solid Snake hides in a locker)
Solid Snake: This reminds me of when we first met.
Otacon: I was the one inside the locker that time. We're equal now, huh?
Solid Snake: Not unless I wet my pants.
Otacon: That's a low blow, Snake!

Peter Stillman: Bomb Disposal Is a face off with your own mortality. Don't let the fear get to you. When you give in to the fear, the Darkness Comes.

Fatman: Bombs tell the time with every minute of their existence, and nothing else announces it's own end with such a fanfare.

Vamp: There's no need for sorrow, Queen. I died once already. I cannot die twice.

Colonel Gurlukovich: Land, Friends, dignity, all sold to the highest bidder, The United States Of America!

Raiden: So you're the boss around here?
Solidus Snake: No, not just here. I'm the boss to surpass Big Boss himself. Solid Snake!
Solid Snake: No! That is NOT Solid Snake!

Raiden: Why didn't you tell me you were the real Snake?
Solid Snake: You never asked.

Solidus Snake: Were all born with an expiration date. Life is nothing but a grace period to turn our genetic information into the next generations. Me and my brothers are called "Les Enfants Terribles", monsters of nature, with the ability to reproduce conveniently taken out. What I want is to be remembered by people, by history.

Mr. X: I'm like you, I have no name.
Raiden: Who are you?
Mr. X: Neither enemy nor friend.

Raiden: Snake, you're a legend!
Solid Snake: A legend is usually bad news. A person tells it, and they pass it on.

Olga: I grew up on a battlefield. Conflict and Victory were my parents. The unit is my Life, my Family. I have no one except the unit.

Raiden: Who are you?
Mr. X: Call me Deepthroat.
Raiden: Deepthroat? From Shadow Moses?
Mr. X: Mr. X then.

Raiden: You're changing sides now?
Solid Snake: I don't recall saying I was on yours.

Goofs

Incorrectly regarded as goofs- On top of Federal Hall, Solidus tells Raiden that George Washington became the first US president "200 years ago today". Washington was inaugurated on April 30, 1789, but this scene takes place on the same day in 2009 - 220 years later, not 200. This is because Solidus is intentionally rounding the number down, presumably to make his dialogue flow better.

Miscellaneous- Every single hostage in the Shell 1 B1 Core has hands with a "white" skin color, even though many of the hostages are black.

Factual errors- In both the end credits and the citation of the quote at the beginning of the Plant Chapter, the name of the Smithsonian Institute is misspelled as "Smithonian".

Continuity- During the bomb disposal mission, Pliskin mentions "the heliport on Strut H". Strut H is clearly visible from several of the connecting bridges, for example, the bridge connecting Shell 1 & Shell 2, and there is no heliport on top of it. The strut next to it (Strut I) does have a heliport, however. This was due to a modeling error.

Continuity- During the Strut B encounter with Vamp, Pliskin's wrist is badly cut. This cut is missing completely moments later when he meets up with Raiden and Stillman in Strut C.

Errors made by characters (possibly deliberate errors by the filmmakers)- Whenever Pliskin, Raiden and Rose mention the former leader of Dead Cell, they refer to him as "Colonel Jackson". Since Dead Cell is said to be a U.S. Navy unit, and the rank of "colonel" is never used in the Navy, he should be called "Commander Jackson". (Vamp - a Dead Cell member - later refers to Jackson with this correct rank, so these errors were most likely intentional.)

Can't Say Goodbye To Yesterday

I stare at the stars and the sky up above
And think what am I made of?
Am I full of sorrow, am I hurt and pain?
Or am I filled with love?
I walk by myself on the streets below
And ask every child I know:
Do you think tomorrow will bring sun or rain?
Which one of these will show?
I can't say goodbye to yesterday, my friend
I keep holding on 'till the end
Out of the darkness, there is no other way
Than the light leading to yesterday
It's there that I'll find inner peace, not war
And dreams that I let slip away
I’ll find the joyfulness, I'm looking for

Way back in yesterday

Why can't each of us in the world ever see
The best things in life are free?
Little sounds of laughter; a warm heart; a smile;
A kiss from you to me...
I fall to my knees
I cry and I cry
Love, do not pass me by!
Happily ever after
Please stay a while; make time refuse to fly
I can't say goodbye to yesterday, my friend
'Cause I know how good it has been
Facing forever
Here I stand, come what may;
Bring the old, bring the new yesterday!
It's there that I'll find inner peace not war
And dreams that I let slip away
I’ll find the joyfulness; I'm looking for

Way back in yesterday
