All I have to say is that I'm Nick and thats it! I started collecting Metal Gear related items since 1998 when Metal Gear Solid came out for the Playstation. Unfortunately I didn't collect the classic items but now I'm tracking down and getting back what I missed. I've been working on this site for two years now and it was first a poor free trial website to a rich and full site. I made this site for fans to get informed all the way and know everything there is to know about the Metal Gear video game series.

I'm in my ROTC program at my high school for the Marines. My uncle is a Marine and me and him are going to fight alongside some day but thats not the only reason I want to become one but I just want to protect my freedom and my beloved country. One of the things I like is that you don't join the Marines, you become one. I like to think of myself as a diplomat, going in between cliques making all kinds of friends because I really hate to be apart of one group or to be one kind of person. Thats really all I have to say about myself.

I hope you enjoy my site, you will know everything about the Metal Gear series after visiting this site. You can't find a lot of content on this site anywhere else. Another one of my hobbies is knife collecting. I've been collecting knives for quite a few years now. I got my first knife years back which was my grandfather's custom pocket knife. My cousin, Richard Mattei has a website with his partners called Knife Purveyor which is great for custom knife collectors. Here's the link- http://knifepurveyor.com/. Right now I'm collecting tactical knives but I want to start collecting customs soon. I think my favorite knife as of now is my Tarpon Bay folder because of it's metal handle and slick design. As of now, I have 22 knives, a Katana sword and a chinese throwing star. I take pride in my knife collecting and its one of my favorite hobbies. Here are some pictures of my collection-

Site Revived July 24th 2005...

Months before the 27th of July, I had the idea to make a Metal Gear site for my own personal collection. I thought that I should make a collection site for my things after seeing many inspiring collection sites like Shadow Moses Island, Junker HQ and Deadcell HQ. I looked upon many other "free" site builders like Bravenet, Alxnet and Freewebs. After a while, I started to like Freewebs because of what they had to offer and what their layouts looked like. Finally, my site was born on July 24th 2005 and was named Outer Heaven Resistance Headquarters. It turned out after a while that it wasn't all that I'd hoped for. I had to make 7 different sites just to have my entire collection on it! The reason for this was because on each page there was only a place for 7 paragraphs and a limited amount of pictures so I actually had an item on each paragraph! The site also allowed only 7 pages so it started to get pretty tight. Finally, after a while, I had made the 7th page which was the Metal Gear history page. After advetising it, the site started to get pretty bad reviews. I didn't really understand because I put a lot of hard work into it. Frustrated, I left the site and ignored it for months.

Weeks before July 24th 2005, I started looking at my site and thought I can make this much better if I would pay for the site and get more content. I had paid $42 for the whole year! It was a good price for what would come of this site. I had deleted all the collection sites and kept the main page. I had cleared it and started from scratch. On July 27th 2005, Outer Heaven Resistance Headquarters was revived back to life. It took a while to finish it but it worked. Ever since it has gotten great reviews and I think it was a great success. If you would've told me 2 years ago that this site would be as good as it is now, I would've thought you were crazy.

I just have to say I won't criticize or put down any other sites like other people would because people like that think they are the best and are full of themselves. I am very grateful for people who try to put up a site and still want to appreciate Metal Gear or any site for that matter. I think this because people put a hell of a lot into their sites and still they get put down and I don't think it should be that way. Its not about the hits or reviews you get, its about the work you put into it and the appreciation you have for the Metal Gear franchise.
