Here you will see my collection of Metal Gear Solid items I've collected since 1998 when the game came out for Playstation, wow remember those days! You will also see things like the history, stories, characters and many more extras about the Metal Gear series even from the beginning. There will be a fan page too, just for fans to put up artwork or basically anything and there will also be a forum and a newsletter. I will daily update this site with news and update things that may need work on. A lot of you saw my page before when I didn't pay for it, well I now pay for it and it is a lot better and was well worth it. If you don't like the site then who said you had to like it and I really don't care what people like that think. Well what else can I say, Enjoy! -Nick

MGS4...Too Big?
Hideo Kojima said in a interview that some in-game features were taken out of the game due to disc space! MGS4 is too big for Blu Ray discs, even though this kind of sucks, HOW GREAT IS THIS GAME GOING TO BE!?

*Countdown Problems
Just to let everyone know, the Japanese and English MGS4 embeddable countdown timers will cause problems with your website. It's non-fatal but each time you try to view your website, a message pops up saying Internet Explorer cannot open this page and operation aborted. So you need to keep refreshing your page but it will only work 1 out of 2 times.

What A Tease!
Kojima Productions has opened a Metal Gear Solid 4 "Teaser" site. It features the new image of Snake along with embeddable launch timers, some sweet new wallpaper and 2 links, one for the MGS4 Integrated Site and one to Metal Gear Online Teaser Site. If you go to the Japanese page on the MGS4 Teaser Site, you can reserve the game and other goodies and even find info on a MGS4 countdown timer for mobile Japanese phones! For Japan, you can even download the new MGS4 wallpaper through the Playstation Store! Here is the link- MGS4 Teaser Site

For the Japanese MGS4 countdown timer, copy and paste this script-

MGS4 Bundle Pack
Recently, Sony announced they are going to release a Metal Gear Solid 4 Bundle Pack. The bundle pack is going to cost $499 which includes an 80GB Playstation 3 console, a Dualshock 3 wireless controller and of course, Metal Gear Solid 4, all of which will come in a sweet box that should not be thrown away for recycle! This is definitely great for anyone who doesn't have a PS3 because in my opinion. MGS4 is a REASON to buy the console. That's why I honestly bought it. At the time when the PS3 first came out, obviously it wasn't looking good and it's future was bleak but apparently over time, it gained momentum. I had to get the PS3 in order to play MGS4, I wouldn't be able to live with myself if I hadn't. But now if the bundle pack is somewhat customized with cool MGS4 extras or perks that come exclusively with the bundle pack, I regret buying the PS3 back then because I would rather have the cool bundle pack. That's my collective side talking, in the end, bundle pack or not, I will play MGS4. A game which I think will be as phenomenal as or even more than Halo 3, hell, definitely more phenomenal. This is Snake's last show, as depressing that is, the game will be incredible. Out of my entire life spent here, this is the game I am most excited for. Rejoice my brethren, Rejoice!

MGS The Essential Collection
Remember not too long ago, Konami released the 20th Anniversary Collection in Japan featuring ALL the Metal Gear Solid games, well America's time has come. Introducing, Metal Gear Solid The Essential Collection. You get the original Metal Gear Solid game as well as Metal Gear Solid 2 and Metal Gear Solid 3. They are releasing MGS2 and MGS3 as "Director's Cut" editions but in reality it's just Metal Gear Solid 2 Substance and Metal Gear Solid 3 Subsistence. All 3 games come in a nice pack with different cover art than the original, all of which will be released for the PS2 console. Keep in mind the 20th Anniversary Collection was better but for someone who hasn't played MGS before, this is a great "starter kit". This is also good for the younger generation because I'm sure some were never introduced to Metal Gear Solid before. This is also great for people to catch up or refresh in time for the release of Metal Gear Solid 4. The Essential Collection is set to debut March 18 2008 for North America. But, it will not be released in Europe, sorry guys! This is definitely going to be a fun wait!

Federal Hall Trip

Hello again, I thought I would give the viewers a treat so, I took the ferry into the city and went to Federal Hall. As you know, in Metal Gear Solid 2, Solidus Snake and Raiden have their last battle on top of Federal Hall, well I went and took some pictures. Besides the fact part of the game was based here, it was definitely a sight to see. There was one picture I didn't get but it was another ingravement that states- "Erected By Voluntary Subscription Under The Auspices Of The Chamber Of Commerce Of The State Of New York November 26 1886". Check out the photos in our new Photo Gallery. (Slideshow option recommended, better quality and view)

Headlines

December 20, 2007- Good evening everyone, it's been a while well for the site, since TGS, I kinda took a break since there wasn't an influx of MGS news so I ventured off to Youtube and have done a lot! I have made 6 MGS4 amv's and have 2 more on the way. I've only been working with MGS4 because I am currently uploading all the cutscenes from all the MGS games so once I'm finished, I will make more amv's. I have also created an account on Gametrailers.com and have been putting my amv's up there too. So far, there is nearly 60 videos on my account and more are on the way. I haven't taken a break on ebay though, I have found some pretty cool stuff and have updated the collector's section with the new items. Well, it's that time of year again so I thought I would commemorate the holiday's by making a MGS4 amv holiday card instead of just having a picture up like the year's before. So I'm actually taking a break from the amv's, I will up the anty on the site and the MGS cutscenes. So I will be back with an update for the weekend with some more news, seriously it'll be this weekend! All the previous news can be found on their respective pages hence old news will be in the Archives page and MGS4 news will be on the Guns Of The Patriots page, you get my drift. Well, see you guys in a couple of days. Stay tuned.

Well by far, the coolest items I received had to be the 2 MGS staff promos and the MGS3 Squares Camo figure. Well, most of you probably know the MGS3 Medicom figure was released for the Wonder Festival in Winter of 05. When they released this for the Wonder Festival in Japan, they only released 500 of these worldwide and have becoming more and more tougher to get, especially at the price I got it for. I bought it at Toy Tokyo in Manhattan for only $175! I've been waiting for this to be put back on their shelves for a while since they only had 2 of them in the last couple of years. I was actually going to buy this figure off Ebay for X-mas but almost all of them were $300+, but I waited and thankfully, Toy Tokyo had one left in stock. Moving on to the staff promos; I bought these two items off Ebay for about $60 US. The seller informed me that he had a friend that worked at Konami in Europe and Konami gave these out to their staff for the first day that MGS was released in Europe. These were really some awesome finds. The person who sold this to me actually used to work for Nintendo and used to trade stuff with his friend from Konami. Thanks Phil! Well that's it for now, since it is my birthday coming up, I will have some more money for more collectables, sweet! Until next time...
