Kazakhstan Adoption

Summer of 2008-   I am updating this website in hopes that families run upon it and find our story. Counsel is so wonderful. We have played in our pool everyday and eat lots of pinics together with our friends and family. Counsel is a fish, he loves to swim and jump in. He is not scared at all. It is amazing.  We took him to lake winnie early June and he rode all the rides and loved them. Now going into our subdivision, he puts his arms in the air and says weeeee weeeee mommie and daddy a rollar coaster.  We have enjoyed him becoming a big boy as hard as it is to let the baby stages go.  God is so good. 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Jan 10th, 2008-   Wow, Time flies. Counsel is such a big boy now. He says everything, loves to eat and has the most sweet soul I have ever seen in a child. God was so good to us. Counsel is now 2 years old and had a wonderful Christmas. He got a rollar coaster, train set and a million toys. He new thing is Carsssssssssssssss and trucksssssssssssssss and he says it. He asks so many questions and still loves Barney on TV.  I am not sure if anyone ever reads this any more but I will always update it because I found that while I was waiting to travel , I would read families blogs all day long.      Trust me, These Kaz kids are worth the wait.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

June 7th- Home now 8 months. Counsel is walking, talking and into everything. He is so wonderful. It still takes our breath away to think of how he came to us. His favorite thing to do now is play " I get you" where we chase him thru the house. He just giggles.......... God is so good.

We have been swimming and enjoying our summer. To all that is waited, IT IS SO WORTH THE WAIT.

March 30th 2007- Wow, this month has flown by. He is now walking and talking all the time. He loves to give Momma kisses on the mouth and to say Ga Ga for his great grandmother. He is in picture perfect health and right on target.  I think back to this time last year and the wait was so hard but now I know how worth it he is.   We are starting to talk about going back To Kaz and getting a baby brother or sister for Counsel soon.   Kazakhstan has wonderful children and many needs forever families.

 

Tomorrow we are having our first kaz get together here in Dalton Ga. I am looking forward to meeting thses other children from his country and hoping on making bonds for him when he gets older.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

FEB-Today is Counsel's 16 month mark, but he is really about 13 months old. Somehow we think his birthdate got changed or misplaced. He is DOING very well. He took his first steps by himself this weekend. He has bonded to Darren and I so well. We have had no issues with this. He knows we are his parents and he lights up when we come home from  work or walk into his room in the mornings or after naps.

He was dedicated back to the Lord on Feb 17th. We held it here at home and about 30 of our friends and family members came , along with Becky from Adoption Blessings Worldwide( our adoption agency). It was really a wonderful day and weekend.

We are truly blessed to have found Counsel and what a wonderful journey it was and still is. For all of you still waiting and praying for your child. Stand still and listen, when God is ready he will show you your child.

Feb 9, 2007- Counsel had his 15 month old check up on Wednesday. We along with the Dr believe Counsel's birthday may not be what we think. He is growing so well but is still so young. We feel he is more like 13 months old. He is now 20 pounds and says many words. He is a Momma's boy but enjoys playing choo-choo with Dada. He is starting to eat real food and this month his favorite is grilled cheese and pancakes.  He gets to stay home with Momma alot but does enjoy going to his playgroup 2 times a week.

Next weekend is his dedication. We are looking forward to sharing this special day. god has blessed us so much . We are so in love with our son, it amazes us both how much love and how deep a love for a child can be.  His favorite word right now is Heeeeey!!!!!!

 

 

 

Jan 1st-

It is such a wonderful life being a mommy. Counsel is doing so well and growing up so fast. I have no idea if anyone looks at this anymore or if any adoptive parents run up on it but I wanted to update it.

 

We have been home 3 months today and it has flown by. Counsel is right on track and into everything. We had a wonderful Christmas and are so thankful that God answered our prayers . Counsel is more than we ever imagin. It is funny, it is like he has always been here. I tried to think back before we met him and remember what I pictured our son to look like and now all I see is his face.

 

God is so good. For all the families still waiting or just begining, hang in there. Your time will come and it will all be worth it. Just think of the wait as labor pains and once you hold your child, you will forget how hard it was. I promise .....

 

Here is a updated picture. He is now 14 months old and weigh 19 pounds. He is almost walking and can say, Dada, Momma, Bye Bye and waves. He eats everything and loves to play with legos.
