Before the arrival of the Spaniards, the ancestors were fond in arts.  This is proven by the Angono Petroglyphs, declared a National Cultural Treasure in 1973 at World Cultural Heritage by UNESCO, where located in the cave between Angono and Binangonan.

Ergo the next generations, most of them were born with talent of arts. The people of Rizal are proven excellent in arts like visual arts like paintings and sculpture to be seen in the whole place Angono, and other parts of Binangonan, Taytay, Morong and Tanay,

music to be heard in Angono,

music to be heard in Angono,

theaters like cenacles to be watched in Cainta.

In Angono, art is very opulent especially in the field of visual arts and music so they declared as Art Capital of the Philippines.

Carlos “Botong” Francisco and Lucio D. San Pedro who became National Artists for Visual Arts and Music respectively were born and grown in Angono, Rizal.  Nemiranda, Pitok Blanco, Perdigon Vocalan, Tam Austria and Wire Tuazon, the famous painters, also live here as same as Maj. Gragera of music.  Outside Angono, there is Rafael Pacheco of Morong, Rizal, another famous painter.

There are festivals which are enjoyably celebrated like Higantes Festival and the Feast of San Isidro-Carabao Festival of Angono at Sumaka Festival of City of Antipolo.

So, it is saying that the province of Rizal is the Cradle of Philippine Arts.

In the year 2006, the World Art Experience will be held the Municipality of Angono together with the Higantes Festival.
