Yes...it is true. I may not be updating on here much because I am focusing on my new livestream channel...Otakubuffet TV...awesome right? So basically, anything nerd is shown as well as some new things I can think of. Sorry for the inconvenience, but I am sure you guys will have more fun watching my rants than reading them.

Apparently marvel and bungie hasn't realized that the anime industry in America is well...dead. Well, In a coma with a very slim chance of waking up. But nope, lets not forget...Master Cheif sells anything. Halo is milked more than Mario, which is saying something...Milk that cashcow bungie. Here is the Halo anime trailer.

Also, Marvel has teamed up with Madhouse to make a Wolverine and Ironman anime, there is a trailer for those, but it has been rumored that a Spiderman one is coming out.

That is Wolverine? Really? I dont like wolverine thatt much, but come on....really?

I was really suprised at how long it took me to find the Gurren Lagann movie (left), but I eventually got around it...and damn, it was worth it. Gurren Lagann The Crimson Chapter is basically the first 14 episodes of the series condensed into two hours. The first 3/4 isn't the best in the world, it is basically a clip show with minimal new animations. But the last 1/4 is HOLY SHIT awesome. Gainax complete reanimated the last 1/4 which made me yell in excitement...literally. My roommates thought I was weird for yelling so loud, but who cares, its gurren lagann, and its nerdgasm worthy.

And second is the Eureka Seven Movie:Pocketful of Rainbows (right). I was suprised as to how much I liked this movie. BONES does a really good job in everything they do. I know everyone wants the series to continue, but this movie is about a parallel world (man BONES likes parallel worlds--i.e. Fullmetal Alchemist) of the original series. I really don't want to spoil anything, but Pocketful of Rainbows explains every question they create at the beginning of the movie, unlike the series. And this time, the story is different, the character's roles are different, but the character design is the same. It takes a while seeing the ol' gang in this new situation, but after a while, you will grow to love it.

Yup, I have been away for a while...why? Because I have other things to do. I have recently discovered fighting games and how fucking awesome they are. Yes, I am a fan now. I picked up Street Fighter 4 the day it came out and havn't put it down since. Sadly, I cannot play online recently because my room lacks internet connections. But oh well, its still very addicting. I also became enthralled in Guilty Gear XX ever since it was put in my local arcade and Marvel vs Capcom 2 ever since I found a working machine, which is quite hard to find in my town. So yeah, just leaving a post saying I might not be on much....

FAIL: Dragonball Evolution

HEY! That Live action Dragonball movie they announced ten years ago is finally out. MAN, Have I waited so long for this. And I have to say, I almost cried. Not tears of joy, but tears of rage. I am currently writing a review. So just wait to read my rantings.

if you have watched any of these awesome shows/movies....made by the genious Mike Judge (first known for Bevis and Butthead) is finally making his new movie with Mila Kunis and the guy from Arrested Development. The trailer is finally out and man, I'm excited.

The Legend of Zelda: Spirit Tracks (DS)

Two things show in this picture. One: Link is back in cel-shaded style (as in The Wind Waker) and two: Link has given up his awesome boat and horse....for...a train? LOOK AT THAT! HE EVEN HAS A LITTLE TRAIN DRIVER'S OUTFIT! HA! Well, from the trailer, I have gathered that this is a different Link, a delivery boy who delivers a letter to princess Zelda and then gets flung into an amazing adventure where you use your sword and wood sheild to fight dungeon monsters. Yup, same formula. BUT! This game is on the DS...so the touch screen is brought in, and apparently you can boss around a robot guard thing by drawing lines for the robot to run across. This adds to the fun of double teaming easy enemies...nothing better.

Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2 (PS3)

Yup, Ryu Hayabusa is back! And even more badass! Apparently, Ryu is in a setting one year after Ninja Gaiden 2. Hell, I dont know, I havn't even beaten Ninja Gaiden one yet. So basically, I am just going on rumors right now, but its better than nothing. Ryu is not alone, he is joined by Ayane (that sexy purple haired girl from Dead or Alive) and the chick from Ninja Gaiden Dragonsword (yup...never played that either). And online co-op is included. HELLS YEAH. Maybe if I had a good partner, I wouldnt die so many times. But yeah, super fun. Maybe Team Ninja saw that Resident Evil 5 must have had a good idea and want to use that. But damn, this game looks good. I mean, just look at the trailer....the statue of liberty is your enemy...DAYUM.

Raiden in New Metal Gear Game? (uh?)

So. How about that. Apparently at GDC, mad man Hideo Kojima told of Metal Gear Solid's past and maybe future. Where he had, on screen, "THE NEXT METAL GEAR" and then behind it was a supposed Raiden. Man, I hope it is raiden, he became a badass in Metal Gear Solid 4. I dont know how this would play out. Maybe it will become a Ninja Gaiden Clone, but hopefully not. Maybe Hideo will come up with something different for Raiden to do.

OnLive (NEW THING)

Now this is pretty cool. This is what the Phantom tried to do (you know, the phantom from like 6 years back.....no?). Basically, you can play games like Mirror's Edge and Bioshock on your computer. But the thing is, your computer doesnt need to be AlienWare HOLY CRAP amazing computer, even a laptop with Microsoft Millenium Edition can play these games. How? But ME is a peice of crap! Well, the games are put on a server instead of being on your computer, so basically, you are running off of their equipment, which means, you can have fun without spending money on new graphic cards. HUZZAH! I say. I hope this works. The future maybe...where all you need is one system, no more console wars...all those game casualties will be put to rest. Aw yeah.

Wario Ware: SNAPPED! (DS)

Yeah, sure, another Wario Ware. After playing Touched! on the DS way back when it first came out, I found myself playing this game too long. I mean, I beat it probably 60 times already, but those damn mini-games keep me sucked in. Well, here is a new one. Wario Ware Snapped! is basically for DSi people only. It uses the camera for mini-games this time, so thats tough luck for all those people who dont own a DSi. Maybe Nintendo thinks that this will sell more DSi...but I doubt this is a game that will make people wait in line to get one. Yup, not a whole lot to say here. Mini-games using pictures, have fun.

Prototype new trailer (PS3 and XBOX 360)

Wow, this trailer looks exactly like the other three out there! AMAZING! Yeah, its the same. But man, does this game look good. Not graphics wise, but content wise. This better be good. Thats all I can say.

Batman Arkham Asylum Gameplay (PS3 Xbox 360)

ALRIGHT! FINALLY! A batman game that hopefully wont suck. Yeah, finally getting it right by not doing a Dark Knight game, but making this instead. For those who dont know, this game is batman, in arkham asylum, which has been taken over by the joker. So yeah, awesome. And hells yeah! Mark Hamill is playing the joker again. Ahhh....good times. But yeah, this trailer isnt really a trailer, but more of a walkthrough from one of the guys who made it.

Yup. Another new anime that really made me go "HOLY CRAP...I MUST WATCH THIS". Yes, Basquash, in short, is Megas XLR (i.e. giant mechas with cars as heads) that play basketball. So yes, that cartoon network show IGPX about mechs that play sports obviously must have made an impact. But what makes this different from the Mirror's Edge looking future setting of IGPX, Basquash is set in a setting that reminds me of a mix of Jet Set Radio Future and Tekonkenkreet. This anime has only one episode out as of now, but as the story progresses, I hope this show will get better and better. So watch it here.

Funimation has pretty much become the majority of the anime industry, and because of that, they are trying to make an alternative to fansubs. So, instead of people watching fansubs, they are making it so that THEY will sub the episodes and host them on THEIR websites. To me, there really isnt a difference between the watching it on their site or where ever else people watch their anime except the wait time it takes for Funimation to sub their shows while a fansubber will get it done in.... a couple of hours.

This started with Shikibane Hime (gainax's new show) and of course, it is going to be for Fullmetal Alchemist:Brotherhood (their cash cow). Funimation is even sending Cease and Desist orders to fansubbers to get them to stop.

So now, Funimation has stated that they will "air" online episode 1 of Fullmetal Alchemist:Brotherhood on April 9th at www.funimation.com

I guess people will just have to wait....OR  you can just watch it here.

Alright, New anime, and by new, I mean, I JUST watched this. As I was watching episode 1 I figured out that it is made by the people who made Kannagi.Hopefully they will actually make an ending for this. Basically the story is four freshmen girls joining a "light music club". Light comedy, cute characters, and a main character who's personality reminds me of Tokino Akiyama's from Kujibiki Unbalance (you know, that OVA that came with the Genshiken DVDs? Anybody? No?) Hell, they even look alike. Just look:

Well...ever since I watched the first trailer to Dragonball Evolution *shivers* my tendancy to be suprised by lame casting becoming lower and lower. And here is another situation where you sit back and go...."what the hell?" So....the Green Hornet, starting out first as a radio superhero (like the batman of the radio shows) and turned into a television series is now coming to the big screen with....as you can see, Seth Rogan. Really? Am I the only one who sees the problem here? How did it go from...

Anyone remember AstroBoy? Where the Wild things are? Well, here is hollywood trying to cash in on your childhood by making these movies. Seems a bit like a waste of time, but who am I to judge....yet. The trailer for Where the Wild Things are looks pretty decent. But i will just shut my mouth for now and sit quietly.

Hold on their FMA fans, the wait is over. The new FMA season 2 (kinda) is coming this sunday APRIL 5. Now sit down in front of your computers (you probably have to wait an extra day or two) and get ready to watch the series that brought many people into the anime world. Now those who are a dub only watcher, you are probably going to have to wait for a long time (the gurren lagann dub took two years just to get out subbed) and i bet funimation is just knocking on BONES' door asking for episodes to dub. So be patient, or be a peeker like me and watch it once it gets fan-subbed. I will post the first episode in the TRIAL RUN section when  i can get my hands on it.

Thats right, I have finally gotten it straight and started putting up some anime for you guys to watch. I am doing it slowly but surely, but all these anime are pretty much decent or better, I usually dont post bad videos unless its just for the lulz. But there is a catch, I call this channel TRIAL RUN because I will only post one episode of a series (right now, its only the first episodes)...but this is made to be your one episode test. So get ready and enjoy.

if you ar not that well of a defined otaku, there may be some terms that i will use in my reviews. here are the definitions of some of them.

Otaku- a person who has an interest in something, most usually refered to people who like anime and manga.

RPG-role playing game(NOTE- i am not a fan of RPGs, so RPG fans be warned-1. i will not do many RPG reviews and 2. you will not like me for the reviews that are given)

RTS-Real Time Strategy

FPS-First Person Shooter

Vidiot- a word made up by my TV production class that is a person who is good with a camera, editing, etc (this is not an insult, it is the opposite, i consider a vidiot to be an intellegent person)

The rating system for the reviews may be a little confusing, so heres a little helping guide

0-3= avoid at all costs, burn the DVD/game/manga, even if you see it in blockbuster (no dont really i got in trouble for doing that to  Pac Man World)

4-6= only play if you have time to kill- such as if your girlfriend  is angry at you but you are waiting for her to cool down, or you are just waiting to die

7-8= A game/DVD/manga that you will like if you have the money to spare, but if not no worries

9-10= you must get this game/DVD/manga no matter what, or just borrow it from a friend and never give it back
