A Cthulhu You Can Fold!

I know you're into origami patterns, but are you also an H.P. Lovecraft fan?  Whether you read his horror stories or just play games based on them, you know the elder god Cthulhu.  Now you can fold him!

If you dare!

It looks like advanced work to me.  See the photos and diagrams.

Here's what the creator Wolf had to say to a commenter who wondered how long it took him to create Cthulhu:

"Well, yes, it takes some skill, but it’s really just a skill acquired through a lot of practice (I’ve been at this for a few years), rather than something innate. The total amount of time it took, starting from designing it on paper, to finally photographing the finished model, was really only about 4-5 hours."

To which I can only say, "Only four to five hours?  Wow!"

This swordsman is on another page on his blog where he gives photos and diagrams of many other projects.  These origami patterns look like advanced work to me.  The swordsman and Cthulhu are only two of many patterns, enough to keep you busy for way more than four or five hours!
