Personal Background

Monty Davis is a dirt track race car driver who competes in the Stock Four division classes at local area dirt tracks.  He is 39 years old and resides in Union County, South Carolina and is the son of Bob and Jackie Davis.  He has a sister (Patti) and a brother (Artie), one nephew, and three nieces. He has a 20 year-old daughter, Daniela Davis and also a 14 year-old daughter, Chasity Wilson and is engaged to Melissa Youngblood.  He has enjoyed and participated in racing events since childhood.

Racing Accomplishments

Monty has competed at several local area race tracks. His most recent have been Buffalo Speedway, Sugar Creek Speedway, Cherokee Super Speedway, Thunder Valley Speedway,  Harris Speedway, and Riverside Speedway. He has won at all of the above mentioned tracks except at his one visit to Riverside Speedway and that was a 2nd place finish.  He made his first visit to East Lincoln Speedway in 2004.  He is a dominant competitor anywhere he goes. He has consistent wins at Buffalo, Cherokee, and Thunder Valley and won the qualifier races for the 4-cylinder nationals at both Cherokee and Thunder Valley in 2003. His first ever win at Cherokee was the annual Blue-Gray 100 in November 2001. He holds the 2nd place position in the points championship at Cherokee for 2003.  His biggest victory came on December 1, 2002 when he won the World Crown 4-Cylinder Nationals in the Street Stock Four division at Cherokee Speedway then came back to the same event on November 28, 2004 to claim the title once again.  He most recently accomplished his long-time goal of capturing a championship with becoming the 2005 Cherokee Super Speedway Street Stock 4-cylinder Points Champion.

                                                              

                                                                   

                                                                                    



Latest News

Monty fell off a ladder in August 2005 while working and shattered his elbow into pieces.  He has underwent three surgeries thus far and is undergoing therapy on his arm three times a week.  He is unable to race at this time but hopes to make his return in the 2006 season if all goes well.  He has different drivers piloting his race car in his absence.
