In Aelyria the very first character I created after some years of being away was Ilista. This apparently simple girl from the sea stole my heart and much of my muse for many months after the time. Which is kind of a bad thing when I have other characters in other games, other characters in this game as well, as mod like stuff to do.
She is actrully not like any character I have played, she is a sweet girl really, who is very responsible, the difference however is, so far, she is not a fighter. My usual women strove for power, usually it was to protect themselves and those they held dear. They had tempers or were devious, there was a force to them that while they could swallow their pride, or think rationally, it was a bitter pill and it would not be too surprising for them to be in the thick of things, battle or plots.
Ilista however, is the good girl, she is sweet and affectionate, new to the surface world and its many different races, having lived in the sea in a close knit community had left her appearing very much naive. However she is a deeper character than I had imagined when i started out and its always a pleasure when you have a character that surprises even you, and you are her creator. Truth be told, she reminds me of a few proverbs, one being being how still waters run deep, and "It is the calm and silent water that drowns a man.".
She's likely to change a bit, this child from the sea, but it is something even I will have to watch for,but oddly, I do believe gentle her heart will stay.
Update:
Oh my darling child of the sea how wicked she can be, the one who was her love and husband to be, is slain, and a slave that had the nerve to attack her, has been set a flame. I suppose it is safe to say her adaptations to Herozzal is progressing along steadily, I have no idea how this will move along, especially if she ever becomes free again, will she be angry and jaded, in such a short time beyond belief? Will she be a fearful thing constantly ready to fight or to flee? I have discovered however she is rather arrogant in a sense, which is pleasing, she's not openly so, but she still has pride, in her self, her family name, and not too strangely her masters, the Yelkith Twins.
