Mike's guide to online surveys

Earn money online through free surveys

Can I make money online?

Yes! Many places will advertise this sort of survey based work as "free money" - but it's really not free.  You are working. Companies conduct surveys for market research - by telling them your opinions they can then adjust their advertising, products, or services to better meet the wants and needs of people and ultimatley make more money themselves.  So you're not cheating anyone or getting 'free' money for doing nothing.  You are working. It just so happens to be that it's extremely easy AND valuable to companies. This combination means they'll pay people to do it.

How much will you make? It depends. I've seen people make as little as 20$ and as much as 10,000$. It's all about how much time you put into it and what offers and services on these survey websites you take advantage of. The person who was making 10,000$ a year was doing so because he was taking full advantage of Cash Crates referral system - recruiting nearly 9,000 members a year and earning a percentage of what they had made.

If you're curious about this webpage or paid survey websites in general, continue to read the articles posted on this homepage here. I'll introduce myself and talk a little about the general way things work.  If you're interested in why I created this site, visit the "Why?" link at the top.

If you would like to see proof that you can make money online, visit 'proof of payment' - I have posted my checks on there that I received from the survey websites listed on the 'free paid surveys list.'

Introduction

I'm a film student, and production costs always seem to be an issue.  Even the smallest prop can cost a few hundred dollars, and that's on a low budget production! In other words, I need money.  I work a part time job, and that's ussually enough, but there are times where it just doesn't cut it, espescaislly with living expenses constantly getting in the way.  At first I tried all sorts of ways to make extra money - from returning soda cans to asking friends for donations.  Both had limited sucsess, and I was almost ready to give up.  One night shortly after, while browsing a job offerings website, I came across an AD: "Earn thosuands of dollars monthly filling out surveys online!"  Eagerly and desperate, I followed through the link. There was a sign up fee - which I paid - and unfortunately I soon discovered I had been scammed.   Fast forward a few months, still in need of money, a friend of mine sent me a link claiming to have physically been paid money online by a survey website called Cash Crate.  I was reluctant, but after talking to my friend and doing some research this time, I discovered that the website was in fact completly legitimate!  I also discovered that of course you simply won't make thosuands of dollars.  A year later, I've made two thousand dollars - using a combination of Cash Crate and other survey websites.   Not much of a years salary, but it sure as heck was enough to satisfy my film production needs: it was great pocket cash.    And that's more or less my introduction.  The only thing that happend afterwords in my story is the creation of this website.   Whether you're a film student like me, a work at home mom, or a high school student doesn't matter.  If you need some pocket change, you can do so through survey websites, and my website is here to help, because there are in fact a lot of scams out there.   You're probably wondering "why" I'd bother to make this website - and I myself would be skeptical too, so I don't blame you.  I do have my reasons though - which I covered in the "why" page if you're interested in reading more.

About this website & paid survey websites

Ultimately my goal in of making this website is to provide an archived well of information and source of legitimate survey websites.  As such, I will only ever post links to survery websites which I myself use.  I will not post a link to a survey website from which I have not had a check clear, even if the person telling me about the website is my best friend.  It's not that I don't trust other people. It's just that the only way I can say with full certainty that a site is legitimate is if I myself have the physical money in my hand.  All in all, you will only find legitimate survey websites posted on this site, and not only that but I will only ever post free websites.  You will never have to pay a single cent or give out credit card or bank account information to join or make money on any of these websites.  The logic is simple - you shouldn't be paying to get paid to do something.  Could you imagine going into office work and having to pay a fee for the privilege of working there? I sure couldn't.  Any service that requires you to pay in order to be paid is not worth doing.    I'm sure there are other legitimate websites out there, and I'm sure there are legitimate websites out there which require a fee.  I will not post them however, and I cannot guarantee that any website not posted on this one will pay you.

How much will I earn?

How much you make is completly dependent on how much time you put into this.  There are a lot of ways to make money aside from just filling out surveys on these websites, and really it's up to you to take advantage of them.  You can fill out just one survey a day, or you can fill out as many as are offered to you.  You can refer other people to earn a percentage of what they make. You can click the free paid emails from inbox dollars, and so on, and so on.  Is it possible to earn a lot of money? It really depends on what you consider 'a lot.'  Through simply filling out surveys, if you sign up to all of those which I've listed and actively fill out and qualify for every survey you receive, you can make anywhere from a thousand to four thousand dollars, depending on the number of surveys you receive in a years time and how much each pays.  I made 2,000$ in just a year, which honestly isn't that much money, but it's a nice bonus to my regular pay.   On average most people will only earn about 1,000 extra dollars a year IF they put a lot of time into it.  If however you are very dedicated and know how to use the referral system cleverly you can potentially earn 5,000$ a year - but don't expect to do so - it takes a lot of work and requires thousands of referrals to be done.   A user I talked to on Cash Crate was kind enough to share his referral statistics with me, and I was shocked to find out that he had 9,000 referrals, and was making nearly 10,000$ a year off referrals alone.   Not much if you're going to consider it a salary to live off of, specifically considering the sheer amount of work it takes to keep thosuands of active referrals in your account.  Only 1 in every 100 users (which is an arbitrary statistic for example purposes only) will end up being active, and even then chances are they'll give up in a year or so.  Don't let that discourage you, just don't think of it as a get rich quick scheme. It won't get you rich and it won't be quick, but it can be done. I have yet to see that kind of financial success, but it gives me hope to think if I work at it I may be able to make that much too.
