Who We Are
Opportunity House is a non-profit resale store. We are located at 907 West Eleventh Street, Bloomington, Indiana. The store is staffed by volunteers and all merchandise is donated. Opportunity House offers for sale: clothing for all the family, a variety of household items, linens, toys, jewelry, records, luggage, antiques and collectibles and vintage clothing- all at reasonable prices. New merchandise arrives daily. Items not suitable for sale in the store are donated to other service organizations which may have a use for them.

How We Serve
Opportunity House proceeds accruing from sales are committed to help meet the program needs at the Monroe County United Ministries a community center at 827 West Fourteenth Court. MCUM serves many low-income families with programs for all ages, including full-day, year-round childcare for preschool age children and summer care for school age children. All money raised by Opportunity House stays in Monroe County, which is not the case for other national resale shops.

In Case of Emergency
Opportunity House provides free clothing and household items to individuals and families referred through the Community Emergency Clothing Service. To use this service one must contact the Emergency Services Coordinator at Monroe County United Ministries, 827 West Fourteenth Court. Telephone 339-3429. Email mcumhelp@bloomington.in.us. Also available is emergency food, household supplies, and limited financial aid.
