An Introduction to and Open Letter from:
Pastor Benjamin R. John
God’s House of Worship
First,
I thank my Lord and Savior Jesus Chris for the Blessings he has given me
throughout my years of having Cerebral Palsy.
I
was born in Spring Valley, New York
in 1963. My mother’s name was Grace A. John. My father name was
Benny Rivera.
I
have Cerebral Palsy. The disease affects my nervous system.
Fortunately, there is no damage to my brain. I was the official poster
boy for the Cerebral Palsy campaign in the state of New
York in 1969. I moved to Indianapolis
in 1972.
I
attended grade schools 102, 103 and John
Marshall High School.
I graduated from Howe High
School.
I
started to go to church in 1985. My father and I were baptized in the
name of Jesus Christ at the same time. The following week, my sister
joined us in Christ’s name at Little Zion
Baptist Church
on LaSalle St. in Indianapolis,
Indiana.
I
started my doctrine degree in the church while living with different church
elders, deacons, pastors, teachers and other officials of the church family who
helped me in my pursuit of the knowledge of the Bible. All my life
I’ve wanted help people,e even though I was in a wheel chair. By pursuing
my chaplaincy in 1998 at Wishard Hospital,
I was able to continue my mission in Christ.
If
God continues to bless me with the ability to get around, I shall continue to
help Sister Cissi to help those in need.
May
God Bless You All!
From
My Heart,\
