I am Shelley and I would like to personally welcome all of you to ON MY OWNN. This web site is dedicated to all of the men and women who are in transition from an abusive relationship, and for all of the people in my life who have helped me. Since coming out of my situation in January of 2004 life has changed a lot for me. I was divorced in 2005 and have been working on rebuilding my life ever since. I went back to school at the age of 39. That was a little scary going back to school at that age, but I did it. I became a certified P.S.W. which means Personal Support Worker. I work for a nursing home now and love it. I am currently working on many different projects and learning how to create multiple streams of income. As a friend of mine once told me" In order to make it in this world a person has to have more than one thing on the go", it is true!
I have had many ups and downs in my life but my faith in God, my family, my friends and my hope are what keep me going. I want you, the readers to understand and truly believe what I am about to tell you. Your life may be a mess right now, you may be unemployed and stuck in an abusive relationship, living in a shelter, or have nothing, but always remember "Believe in yourselves". Whatever your situation may be just remember that is only temporary. You can change your life too. It is not easy, and it takes work but you can do it. Don't be afraid to accept help along the way, we cannot always do things on our own. How do you think I got to where I am now, I had a lot of help I certainly didn't do it all on my own. I am very grateful for all of the help I have received along the way. At some point in time everyone will need some help from someone. So by visiting my site my greatest wish for you is too find some hope in the pages you read here. My true desire in creating this website and company is to help as many people as I possibly can. I believe with my faith in God that I will help many!
