Commission Work
I've been painting miniatures as a hobby for about 3 years. Unlike most mini-painters I do NOT have any kind of background in art or painting. In fact I never picked up a mini and brush until August of 2002 so I don't count myself as a professional mini painter. The reason is simple, I don't paint for a living or for competitions, I paint just because I love the hobby. However since I started the hobby I have painted over 100 commissioned miniatures beyond my own personal miniature collection. As well as haveing won several painting awards.
You will notice that my commissioned work prices are a bit more affordable then some mini-painters. I do not take on commissions to make money but more for the opportunities to paint miniatures I might not normally buy or paint myself. As long as I make enough money to buy more paint and brushes I will continue to offer my services at the more affordable prices listed.
All Miniatures I paint are high quality and designed for extensive tabletop play. I do not separate miniatures by rank and file or unique, such as generals or PCs, for quality or cost. Other online painters will offer cheaper prices for lesser quality, I refuse to do lesser quality on minis I paint. If interested then please email me at waspclan@hotmail.com
My prices for commission work are:
Single 20mm to 30mm: $20
Mounted Mini or 54mm: $30
Over 54mm (such as Tanks): Variable per request
Armies: 20mm - 30mm: $8 per mini
Armies: Mounted/54mm: $12 per mini
Over 54mm (such as Tanks): Variable per request
As you can see I am more then happy to paint armies of any kind. In fact armies are painted at a 60% discount from the standard single figure commission prices. However for armies I do require a minimum commission of 5 minis to receive those prices listed. I also have no maximum limit on each commissioned army beyond the original 5 requirement. If you would like a starship army painted then the prices would be variable since they would be considered as mounted. Prices would be determined based on the size of starships you wish painted.
These prices include cleaning, assembly, priming, painting and basing but they do NOT include the cost of the mini and shipping. Shipping is usually no more than $6.00 worldwide for a single mini and I would prefer you to purchase the miniatures and ship them to me. However if you like I can purchase the mini and add the purchase cost to the total. Please send me an e-mail for exact prices and shipping address. I require you to pay 25% of the full commission price at time of commission. The remaining payment is due in full before I will ship the finished miniatures.
Unless other arrangements have been made prior to commission's completion, the remaining payment is due in full within 2 months of notification of completion. If payment in full is not received with the agreed upon time frame then ownership of the commissioned work will be forfeit and made the sole property of Jeremy D. Johnson. Any monies previously paid on said forfeit commissioned work will not be refunded, and any balance remaining due on said forfeit commissioned work will be voided and no longer required.
