Yes it has been a long time since the last update.
Literally just three days after the last update I ended up getting a full time
job. Since then it's been work, work, work and little time for painting. What
time I did get for painting was all spent on my Phoenix Congames entries. I
managed to get two entries in Large Fantasy, two Sci-fi entries, two Fantasy
entries, One Diorama entry. What made things really sweet for me was that each
entry actually placed in the top three, where the year before only half of my
entries placed.
My Diorama took first place and since the two
monsters were mounted on legal bases they were allowed into the Large Fantasy competition
where the Heresy Demon took 3rd, only because I went with a "classic
red" color. The Adakin Half-Troll in the diorama placed 2nd in Large
Fantasy. Both my Ragnar Blackmane WolfLord and the Black Templars High Marshall
Helbrecht did well with Ragnar taking 2nd and Helbrecht taking 1st place.
Finally my Reaper Miniatures Male Elven Archer placed 3rd, and I was informed
it was due mostly that the sculpt looked down so they couldn't see his face
that well. Where my Reaper Female Pirate, I can not remember the miniature's
name, took 1st place. So for those counting that's three 1st places, two 2nd
places and two 3rd place entries.
Once I buy my new Nikon digital camera I intend to replace all of the old
pictures with better ones and then post my Phoenix Congame entries as well.
With Hexacon 16 just a month and a half away I am praying they have a miniature
contest this year, unlike the promised one that didn't happen last year. Regardless
once Hexacon 16 is over the Diorama and other will be going up on eBay for sale.

Well another month has come and i've managed to get a few more figures painted and up on CMON. I've experimented some with weatherign and battle damage effects. I'm gearing up for a local con with a painting contest so i wanted some practice with other effects. I've god a unit of tau with rail rifles planned, as well as an Emperor's champion, Eldar Avatar and my first diaroma featuring an Adiken half-Troll and the Herasey Azaroth demon. 35 hours already in the diaroma and i bearly finished the bases so far. I've went ahead and added the Warhammer 40K stuff i painted on some Ebay Auctions, by all means bid away if you like them.Thanks to GT for letting me know the link didn't work. For some reason the hyperlink had a section of another link in it.

Well It's that time for an update and nothing much to say. I haven't really been painting much since I finished all of the figures for the EBay sales. I barely broke even on the costs but hey, at least some people are happy with what they bought. Regardless the sales allowed me to pick up some florescent bulbs and new lamps for better photos. Then just minutes after installing the third bulb and snapping some shots for basic photo help on Jenova's Forums... one lamp fell and busted the bulb. So I need to replace that as well now. I'm a bit burned out on just fantasy so I’ve been doing some Warhammer 40K, completely different beast to paint I’m finding out. Plus with Phoenix Congames coming up in the next few months I’ve started thinking about what I plan to enter in their painting contest. One happens to be the first diorama I’ve ever done. Also the last of my Works of heart miniatures have been sold on EBay so I’m happy to have helped out in that small way.
Busy Little Oni

Well I have been a rather busy little Oni in the last month. I managed to paint a Chaos Dreadnought, Black Templars High Marshell Helbrecht, Chaplain Grimaldus & Retinue and Reaper's female duelist Lonnia. That's seven figures in a month, I really got into the painting this month! Normally I would create a link for each figure but man... after two days of taking pictures, uploading them to CMON, posting on various forums about them AND adding no less then Seven miniature auctions to Ebay I’m just to worn out to deal with HTML coding. Instead I’ll be a lazy git and just give you a CMON gallery link. Incase any one is interested I’ll toss out an Ebay auctions link for the figures I have up for sale. The current auctions are for the Chaos Dreadnought, High Marshell Helbrecht, Chaplain Grimaldus & Retinue, Warhammer Malus Darkblade, Warmachine Allister Caine, Reaper's Duke Gerard and a converted Reaper black Legionnaire and GW Tomb Scorpion to make the Fleshcrafted Nierite monster from the Arcanis mod Whispers in the Dark.
