We are a group of caring, professional people that rescue small dogs one at a time and are usually those with unique or special health or life needs. Bringing together multiple people with numerous resources allows for the Rescue, Remedy (Vet), Recoup and Rehoming of dogs that would normally be overlooked by Rescue Associations or Adoptors, due to the higher costs of medical care needed or upkeep of the disabled dog throughout its life.
Through surgeries, healing, rehabilitation, fostering, training and finally matching these special dogs with wonderful families that can accommodate their unique needs, "1 DOG RESCUE" focuses its capabilities on each dog individually, providing a positive care network that creates healthy and loving companions where possibly no chance of quality life existed before.
How you can help: We encourage you to donate what you can. Whether it's $50 or $500, each little bit helps. Every cent is used for the care, rehabilitation and rehoming of these dogs. Please visit our PayPal donations page. Thank you for visiting. Together, this village can do anything.
Candy is a white female chihuahua she is from the Ventura Shelter she came in as a stray. She was on the shy side at the shelter so when people would come to look for a dog she got over looked because she kind of hid in her kennel. Her time was up and they where going to put her to sleep and we got there just in the nick of time to save her. She is very sweet and gets along great with other dogs and people. She weights about 6lbs and is about 2 yrs old. She is fully potty trained and is updated on all her shots and micro-chipped and spayed. You couldn't ask for a more sweeter dog. No children under 12.

Holly is a white chihuahua and is about 4 yrs old. She came in as a stray at the East Valley Shelter along with 3 other dogs. The shelter thinks it was her owners that turned in her, but who knows for sure. She weights about 8lbs and she is so so sweet gives kisses to everyone she meets. She gets along great with other dogs and is great with kids and everyone she meets. The only problem she has is she bolts out the door so you have to be very careful that she doesn't run away so no small children. She looks like a little white fox. She is fully potty trained and updated on all her shots and is micro-chipped and spayed.

Lucy is a long haired chihuahua pappion mix she is 10 months old and shy, but very sweet. She looks like she was abused and is very shy, but not aggressive at all. She just loves to sit in your lap and snuggle. She weights about 4lbs and probably will be about 6 lbs full grown. We are working on getting her potty trained. Updated on all her shots, micro-chipped and spayed.

She is a black chihuahua and is a puppy 3 months old. She is very tiny like 2.5lbs. Some how her head was smatched in a door and she had a brain injury. Her owners brought her to the vet not knowing if she would make it or not. The owners couldn't afford to have her treated and so they where going to have her put to sleep. The vet suggested they sign her over to them and the vet didn't even know if she would make it, but with lots of care from our vet she has made a full recovery. The vet thinks she is blind in one eye and has only a small amount of hearing in one ear. She is a bit of a speical needs little girl her head also tilts to the side, but she walks and runs just fine. She isn't available for adoption yet until we know for sure she is 100% OK and that she won't need anymore follow up vists to the vet.

Speck is 4 years old and weighs 3.8 lbs he is very tiny. He is super sweet and likes other dogs and people. His owners turned him into the shelter because they could no longer care for him.

Pez is a Miniature Pincher Mix and is about 1 years old and weighs about 7lbs. He is from the East Valley Shelter and came into the shelter with a broken hip. Nobody wanted to adopt him because of his injury they thought it would be to expensive to fix. He is super sweet and gets along great with other dogs. He is still recuperating from his injury and will be available for adoption soon. Taking applications now.

Frankie is from the Ventura Shelter and he came in as a stray with a broken jaw. Nobody knows how this little fellow broke his jaw. He is super sweet considering how much pain he is in. Nobody wanted to adopt him because of his injury because people thought it would be to expensive for his medical treatment. The shelter contacted us the day before they where to euthanize him and we rescued him on that day. He is about 2 yrs. old and weighs about 5 lbs. and gets along great with other dogs. He is still healing up from his injury and isn't available for adoption yet. Taking applications now.
