Elections are the heart of the democratic process and an integral part of our governmental system. The year 2009 will be a big year for elections. OML’s Election Workshop is designed to instruct municipal officials and employees in the administration of the election process. Learn the details, notice requirements, dates and laws which govern various municipal elections. OML’s afternoon workshop will educate municipal officials and employees on the issues of election cycles, from filing to voting, from administering the oath to post-election protests. Learn which election laws to apply to your election and take home a packet of sample language for proclamations, resolutions and ordinances for publication, and forms appropriate for compliance with your municipal government.
