Framfield Open. Jonathan Watt (BCUK Team Sport One) smashes the venue 5 hour match record. Framfield Fishery near Uckfield in East Sussex is noted for big carp weights especially on Spring Lake, but BCUK Team Sport One rod Jonathan Watt pushed the weights even higher when he set a new five hour venue record with 276-8-0 of BCUK B1 paste caught carp. In form Jonathan, who recently won the opening round of the Browning Passies Teams of Five Summer League with 78-4-0, set himself a PB match weight by landing carp to 10lb from peg 64. Jonathan set his stall out by fishing at 11.5m for the first hour whilst feeding his right hand margin swim with hemp and sloppy pellet. A switch to the margin swim produced carp to 10lb for the rest of the match as Jon switched to 16-20 red Maver dual core elastic to 0.19mm power line through to a 12 hook to hustle them out.
