Ok, so heres how membership goes for the ODC clan. You see, there are several rankings and desiganated positions which I will assign to clan members and certain rights, rules, and priviledges that go along with each one of them, and although this might sound cool, theres a few things you need to know:
1. If you're a lower ranked member than the person your talking/playing with, TRY to be polite to some degree as the other guy/girl is your superior and might have a reason for telling you to do something, now this does not mean that if you're higher ranked than somebody else, that you can boss them around just for the hell of it lol, but you do have a "slight" degree of authority over them, and I do mean SLIGHT unless of course you're me =) jking...
2. You MUST be willing to help other members of our clan with questions they may have about editing or other things of that sort, if they're in our clan, its cause they earned the right to be with us, and they deserve a chance to learn and become stronger. Now this also does not mean you have to tell them what modifiers you are boosted with for magic blocks, or anything at all about what modifiers you use, but just assist them with any minor probs they might be having with their editing skills or program problems. I get questions all the time about tank creator and problems ppl. have with the RTC program, if their's is corrupted, take the time to send them a working copy, dont just say aww too bad and keep goin, if we want to become a strong clan, we need to work together to be strong, after all, we're only as strong as our weakest member...
3. Fighting between clan members will NOT be tollerated under ANY circumstances!!! unless of course your just playing for fun =). But if you've got a problem with another member or a legitamate conflict of some kind, or just wanna challenge them for their ranking, then let ME or the OL know FIRST (we will discuss what and who the OL is later), then let the person you're challenging know, then upon a response from either ME or the OL, a challenge will take place. If the challenge is over a certain issue, then the winner of the duel is the winner or the argument, and there will be no more discussion of it unless I see fit to decide otherwise. If the challenge was for another member's ranking, then there must be at LEAST ONE witness, other than the combatants themselves who can verify the the winner was infact the winner, unless the other player admits to the loss (actually, you need a witness to prove you won no matter what). If a player denies losing, but this loss in verified by a witness other than the player who fought him, these are grounds for imeadiate demotion of ranking, possibly, all the way down to infantry, (UNRANKED general membership). This is punished so severely because no one likes a liar, and if you will lie about a loss of ranking, or lie about anything for that matter, then you dont deserve to be ranked...
4. DO NOT edit a character for another player if they have no editing skill themselves unless I or the OL decide its ok. Remember, we all need to grow in our own abilities as editors and as players, and there's no better way of doing this, then doing it yourself =).
5. This isn't really a rule, because anybody can really do what they want to, but there will be consequences. We DONT want traitors, and deserting our clan and joining another one is your right if they choose to accept you,but you'd better not try getting back into this clan or spying to see what we're doing or our latest plans for anything. If you desert us, all other members of this clan have my permission and my complete blessings to beat the hell out of you in any game they find you in. We wont hunt or stalk you, but if you join one of our games or join a game that one of us are in, you WILL be killed on sight be by any and all memebers of our clan. In a battle against a traitor, our clans PVP rules no longer apply and all members should jump in and attack the traitor with ANY and ALL weapons/spells in their possesion, INCLUDING guns!
6. DON’T OB, this is VERY rude and will give our clan a bad name in a big hurry, OBing creates LOTS of lag and its just not fun to have a bunch of nearly unkillable people walking around and taking 3 hrs or more to break them, that’s not fun, so don’t do it!!! PLEASE rely on your breaking skill and distribution of modifiers to win a fight.
7. Don’t hit somebody unless they hit you first, and if you do, ask them if its ok, and if you don’t ask, then at least finish what you start, don’t hit and run away, be brave, and if you’re up against someone too strong for you, well all I can say is take your beating like a man and don’t mess with them again until you get a bit stronger, but if they continue killing you even after you ask them to stop, then if other clan members are around, they should jump in and help you.
8. ALL members of the clan may be challenged except me, as I am the one who created this clan and did the work to put up the website and has helped our weaker members from the very start, and shared my discoveries, and done numerous other things to promote our clan and keep it active and growing, I do not see this as an unfair trade. But as for the challenging of other players, well, there are some rules here too, Clan rankings are as follows:
(1)King : Symbol - "K". King is the highest ranking in our clan. There can be only 1King at any given time. I am King until I step down and name another to take my place. I have all say over what happens in this clan. Recruiting and testing are done by me alone because as of yet, I am the only member of our clan who i beleive is strong enough to test and knows what to look for in a recruit
(2)Over Lord : Symbol - "OL". The Over Lord is my second in command, the next highest ranking member next to me. There can be only 1 Over Lord at any given time. Unlike me, the Over Lord may be challenged, but he/she has the right not to accept someones challenge for any reason, and he/she is not required to name the reason unless i ask them. If i decide that the OverLord is strong enough, I may allow them to test and recruit new players into our clan, but I must be notified of all new members.
(3)Lord : Symbol - "L". The Lord's are next in ranking under myself and the Overlord. There can be up to 2 Lords at any given time. The Lords will be designated as L1, and L2, L1 being the highest. If a Lord wishes to challenge the Overlord, he must first challenge and defeat the other Lord, if they have not already been classed as either L1 or L2, then he/she can duel the Overlord if his/her challenge is accepted. Refusing a challenge constitutes an automatic loss for any member except myself and the Overlord, so if one lord were to challenge the other, and the other refuses, then that lord has automatically lost unless they can present a VALID reason as to why they didnt accept, and if i decide that their reason is acceptable, then they can refuse the challenge without forfiting the match (I dont know of any reason why someone would refuse, but whatever) lol. The same rules apply to the others rankings that I will discuss next.
(4)High Guard : Symbol – "HG". High Guards are next under the Lords, and there can be up to 4 of them at any given time. If a High Guard wishes to challenge a Lord, he must defeat ALL other High Guards unless they have been classified as HG1, HG2 HG3 and HG4. A member of one ranking may NOT challenge a member of a ranking higher than the one directly above him, for example, an HG4 cannot challenge HG1 or HG2, as an HG3 cannot challenge an HG1, and an HG2 cannot challenge an L2 or L1, and an HG1 cannot challenge an L1 or the OL.
(5)Guard : Symbol – "G". Guards are next under High Guards, and there can be up to 8 of them at any given time. If a Guard wishes to challenge a High Guard, then he must first defeat ALL the other Guards, if they have not already been classified as G1, G2, G3, G4, G5, G6, G7, and G8
(6) All Other Members : No Symbol, only the {ODC} tag in their character’s name. No ranking, these are just general members with no authority over any other member, but still clan brothers and sisters anyway. =)
Tagging and Symbol examples: {ODC-HG1} means high guard ranking 1. {ODC-G4} means guard ranking 4. {ODC-OL} means Overlord. {ODC-K} or {ODC-KING} both mean its me The King... =)
