A registered paint horse is bred for bloodline, conformation and ability - and of course colour. Paint's are a stock type horse over 14hh, which carry foundation coloured stock, quarterhorse and or thoroughbred in their pedigree. All horses foaled after August 1979 must have both the Sire and Dam registered in the PHAA regular or breeding stock registry, Australaian Quarterhorse Association or Australian Studbook ASB or a combination of any two of these associations.
I am a member of the Paint Horse Society of Australia and also a member of Statewide Paint Horse Assoc of WA
