'dually's' - we move new Travel Trailers and 5th Wheel Trailers, one at a
time, from the manufacturers in Oregon (West) and Indiana (East) to the
dealerships in eastern and western Canada. Most trucks average 23,000 Kms
per month, so if you fancy yourself as a long distance driver..........!

Believing in the philosophy of 'Retire Early, Work Late' my wife and I sold
our grocery store in 1995 and went sailing around the Gulf Islands for a
year. These Islands, for those who are geographically handicapped :), lie
between Vancouver and Vancouver Island, and stretch south towards Seattle.
The following year we purchased a Greyhound coach (not, please, a bus!)
that had been converted into a motorhome, and toured the continental US and
Baja Mexico.....for the next 4 years. Now I work.

I still enjoy riding motorcycles at silly speeds, and manage to sail now
and then on Okanagan Lake. I quaff a jug of ale with Nigel Page '72 when
I'm in Vancouver, and saw Tony Cox '72 in Calgary about a year ago - fall
of 2004.

Penticton sits in the southern portion of the Okanagan Valley, British
Columbia, and is considered to be semi desert. Its population is approx
38,000, with Kelowna (pop 110,000) 1 hour's drive north.  Because of its micro-climate, orchards and vineyards vie for space. The wine industry has been on a roll since the '80's, so the orchards are slowly losing out. Hmmm " An apple or a glass of wine? Glass of wine or apple ?" Hmmm. If you are bored at work one day, "Google Earth" Penticton, and go for a drive! or a flight !

69        Michael Stannard - (2005 update) Called to the Bar of England and Wales (1973) and Gibraltar. I specialise in tax planning but have recently branched out into more interesting ventures: a wine selling business in Calais and its environs and a telecommunications company specialising in pre-paid freephones, very much aimed towards prisoners! I split my time between Calais, a house in Hambye (Normandy), a flat in Verbier (Switzerland) and Gloucestershire, where my second (consecutive rather than bigamous) wife is a G.P. I have two
surviving children, Hilary, aged 18 and shortly going to Southampton

I think this is my last job!  I find it extremely heartening that for so many, let us say, ‘Independent Robinites’, the vast majority have been very successful in their walks of life.  Coupled with this we also have the best attended Annual Dinner in the school with other house clamouring to be included.  Nothing has changed!

I would welcome hearing form any ORs and can be contacted at john@farbridge.org.uk.   (09)

I'm currently shepherding on a 1000ha farm mid-way up the east coast of the North Island. We breed sheep, beef cattle and deer for both venison and velvet. Most of the farm is reasonably steep hill country so thank God for the advent of sheep dogs! I've been farming in NZ for about 4 years now, and have 4 working dogs and a horse. (Not that he ever gets used for the purpose of mustering, but if ever the need arose...) I live on the farm with my girlfriend, who works in Hastings, an hour's drive away. (A city by NZ standards, but with a population of about 30 000, it would probably be considered a small town in Britain!)  Until I started here nearly a year ago, I spent 2 years working on a quarantine station for a live export company. There we monitored the health and growth of dairy heifers destined for Asia and South America. As a stockman there, I was also occasionally required to oversee their health on the sea voyage to where ever it was they were going. I ended up travelling to China twice and Guatemala once.
