coaching sessions

The North Stars coaching team is lead by Johny Creelman who is BSUK Level 2 Coaching certified, and is supported by a large staff of assistant coaches including James Almond, Peter Baxendale, John Brooks, Emma Edwards, James Hulme, David Marlow, Gareth Owen, Stephanie and Denzel Schrader, all having BSUK Level 1 Coaching certification and Harry Anderton who draws on experience coaching little league in Canada and his playing days in England.

The coaching team has the responsibility of organising the Wednesday evening in-season training sessions and any additional winter and spring programmes. In doing so they will try to identify both individual and team needs.

They have a responsibility to ensure that all health and safety considerations regarding equipment, venue and weather conditions are taken into account and they have full authority to cancel or abandon any training session if they believe the health or safety of players or the public is at risk.

No training sessions can take place without the presence of a member of the coaching staff in order to ensure the club is compliant with BBF organised insurance.

The coaches have signed up to attend appropriate coaching courses and any other courses relevant to their role.  The coaches will be responsible for selecting the team for BBF games and in game decisions in relation to tactics and replacements.
