Helpfull Information about our Rabbits

Some bunny enthusiasts are content with having bunnies for pets and personal enjoyment. Others desire to go beyond this, and seek out animals that are genetically superior with certain desirable qualities according to the breed's "Standard of Perfection." I enjoy both aspects of raising rabbits.

Old Dixie Rabbitry is very concerned that the rabbits we sell are in homes were they are safe and will be well cared for. It is our sincere hope that you feel the same way.

We offer rabbits that are healthy and happy. All of my rabbits are very well taken care of and gets lots of love and attention.

All juniors individual quality classifications are pending until they become seniors.

Juniors- Under 6 months of age

Seniors- Over 6 months of age

*As with any rabbit, they change as they mature and the weather and care they receive also effects the rabbit. We cannot guarantee that you rabbit will not change in the future, this includes keeping their manes on Lionheads. We have no control over this.

What is the difference between Show Quality and Pet Quality?

"Show Quality" means that the animal has traits and qualities that are highly desirable for showing and has no known disqualifications that would prevent it from being shown in an ARBA sanctioned show.

"Pet Quality" means that the bunny has minor faults that would render it undesirable for showing or breeding (i.e. white toenail, white spot in fur, etc.).

What is a Brood Doe?or Brood Buck?

"Brood Does" or "Brood Buck" may or may not be "show quality" themselves, but possess qualities that are an asset to my selective breeding program. When bred to a buck or doe with complimenting qualities, the pairing should produce some show quality.

NOTE: WE DO NOT SHIP OUR RABBITS
