About the Book

Oklahoma's Gold takes you on an adventure of mystery, murder, and romance.  Set in the rustic, southwestern town of  Chickasha, Oklahoma this novel is told with heartwarming, southern character and a bit of cultural, Native American flare.  Heroine Jess Clinton, a young, beautiful, energetic woman from the north comes to this small burg where she hopes to make a new start.  Expecting to find peaceful surroundings, Jess soon discovers Chickasha is anything but quiet.  Her Uncle Fred has been brutually beaten, the Indian ranchers and farmers have experienced repeated vandalism on their land, and a modern-day medicine man is warning how evil spirits have come to Chickasha to avenge a wrongdoing from the past, as well as one from the present.  Still, she finds many people to count on, including Daniel Ross, the Cherokee ranch foreman and Emma Thomas, the elderly, high-spirited matriarch of the community.  Together they become amateur detectives to uncover the truth.  As they work toward solving the mysteries of Chickasha their life becomes increasingly dangerous when they are attacked and threatened.  However, the threats only drive them more to find answers before their tiny, peaceful community is destroyed.
