Applied Cryptography - by Bruce Schneier, 2nd edition. Very rare on the net. Absolutely everything you want to know about cryptography and encryption techniques. One of the best books on cryptography in history.
Applied Cryptography - same book, online version.
Handbook of Applied Cryptography - by A. Menezes, P. van Oorschot, S. Vanstone. This is the desktop book of every cryptographer.
David Kahn - The Codebreakers - this book is very rare on the net, I haven't met one yet, got it from p2p network. Its about history of cryptography and cryptanalysis. This book rulezzz.

The Gold Bug - Edgar Allen Poe - one of the most beautiful, though very simple decryptions in history of cryptography. This is a cryptographic literature. Art of novelty + frequency analysis.
Dancing Men - Sir Arthur Conan Doyle - in this one perfect logic of Sherlock Holmes decrypts the ciphertext consisting of dancing men. Frequency analysis again, simple, yet beautiful.
