Zone Governor and Lt. Zone Governor are elected at the Summer Zone meeting (Aug-Oct) and serves from Jan 1 to Dec 31 of the following year. They are required to attend 4 Ohio District cabinet meetings  (2nd Sat. of Feb,May,Aug and 3rd Sat. of Nov.) and the Fall Convention on the 2nd Saturday of November each year.    Any member of the clubs within the zone can serve as Zone Governor.  All you need is a willingness to visit each club at least twice each year.  That normally means attending 2 club meetings each year of every club in your Zone.  If you run for Zone Governor, please become familiar with Ruritan.  Read your Officer Handbook.  The office of Zone Governor is a great opportunity to get to know Ruritans from all over your Zone and District.  You will be asked to give a report at each Cabinet meeting.  If for some reason your zone does not elect a Zone Governor at the summer Zone meeting, the Ohio District Ruritan Governor can appoint someone from within or outside your Zone.    As Zone Governor you are the key to communications for the District officers and Ruritan National.  Clubs will depend on you for answers, but always remember that you have much support with the District Officers and National Director.  Thank You,    Frank Kinsey-Ruritan National Director assigned to Ohio
