10/28/09 - Its almost Halloween and here is an update! And sadly not much going on, just letting everyone know were still here! We do believe we will add a new haunt, called the Krather Building near the metroparks zoo that my companies boss' dad or something owned the place and knows some people have died there, one in fact was killed when the air conditioning duct collapsed with part of the roof on him quite a few years ago. And since we KNOW the owner of this building, it might be in fact a great hunt for us to do very soon! Stick around! DB
8/14/09 - Well things have been slow and still no trip to explore the insides of Marycrest. But with Halloween around the corner who knows! And the Mansfield thing might not happen either since they changed the ghost hunt thing so who knows about that either. Oh well, stick around.
6/14/09 - Just got back from a quick trip to Marycrest! The pics of the outside structure will be posted soon!
June 2009 - Holy crap its an update! So, still no word on the Mansfield Reformatory and if we go itll be about this time next year... And one thing thats almost certain is that we will be doing an investigation of an abandoned school in Indepedence. The place has been closed for over 10 years and has great potential of being a spooky place and I am sure some strange things have happened considering the place was a school for troubled girls... So, keep in touch and pics of the awesome place will be posted along with any creepy story to go along with it! Hopefully the cops dont bust us as usual, but this place seems like the real deal and word is, nobody ever gets caught because no one cares! So, anyone checking out the site, stick around and check in within two weeks and we will give the very first picture tour and basically tell everyone of Marycrest !
October 2008 - yeah its an update i cant believe it either! but yeah, we did some little hunts but after being busted by the cops for like the third time, i think were about all done with this stuff. Its fun and we never do anything bad and these cops see us as punks starting trouble and apparantly knocking over tombstones so whatever. Maybe sometime down the road well do it again for the hell of it! but one thing we do plan on doing next year is going to Mansfield Reformatory since they have all night ghost walks or something. So if anyone actually visits this site or likes it and suggest we keep doing what we do let me know and give me suggestions, if not I probably wont update the site for quite some time. See ya later!
Suggestions E-mail me at Ohioghosthunters2004@yahoo.com Thanks! |

| About Us |
The Founders, Dan Beaty and Andy Mann
How we started it all I can't really recall an exact time or reason, but I do know for sure it was in October of 2004. It was near Halloween and we were all in highschool and had nothing better to do. Word spread out of "Helltown" for some reason and I was very interested in it. After I checked it out online, I was hooked. I never was into this kind of stuff until I read all about the local places. Immediatly, me and Gary took a trip out to see Helltown and after that is all history! The next week, I told Andy Mann, and he was already into it. So, together, we began looking up places and checking them out! And before you know it, I found this website and started putting everything together and have had a blast doing so!
And later on...
Well, first off and most obvious, we aren't no big time ghost hunters with all kinds of equipment. Were just a very small group of friends interested in this kind of stuff. Either it be an actual haunting or just an abandoned place, we are into it. Consider it a hobby for us. We dont have expensive cameras and devices. All we bring is our digital cameras, camcorder (Which is broken now) and we used to have an old tape recorder. The name OGHA (Ohio Ghost Hunters Association) is just because it sounds cool. Now, technically, we can call ourselves that since its just a group of people basically. Anyway, we know many people out there share the same interests with us. Most of them don't care enough to take the risks we take to go out and explore, so it's websites like this one, that bring that info to you. We know the risks, but we take them anyway. We enjoy doing what we do and hope someday, maybe, we can become more popular. What makes us different then the big guys, is that we do much smaller things and unheard of places here in our local area in northeast Ohio. When you search up Hemlock Road or Marycrest (COMING SOON!) you cant really find anything about them, yet there are tons of people that have a tale to tell about it. Thats why we do this. We are here to support or area and have fun doing so! Thanks a lot for coming to our site and hope you enjoy it! DB
