At our farm, our primary focus is the Ancient Oriental Thailand Fowl.  M.O.A.'s primary goal is the preservation of this rare and beautiful fowl. Other oriental hard feather breed we have added to our preservation list includes the rare Burmese Fowl, the Vietnamese Gadon, Japan's famous Shamo, the dwarf ornamental Ko-Shamo and the Rajah Murgh Asil also known as the Reza Asil.

Golden Variations

We firmly believe that quality comes from natural production. Since we have extremely cold weather in Minnesota, we do not breed our birds until Mid March. Our hens hatch their own eggs and normally sit on no more than ten eggs. Eggs hatch in April and are raised by their own mothers free range on our Eight Acre farm. Their diet consist of the many insects on the land(extremely high natural protein) and supplyment scatch feed. 

All of our birds are raised free range until they reach four to five months when the stags start gaining confidence. Each cockerel is then separated into individual pens until adopted into a good home. They are fed non-medicated grain and never injected with hormones and antibiotics. Our breeding standard is set very high, any bird with abnormal growth, weak legs or weaker immune system will end up on the dinner table. Only the survival of the fittest will be consider for our breeding system. Other factors that contribute to brood selection include good scale readings, correct disposition and correct breed size.
