david jason wants to come back as delboy

According to the Sun newspaper, tv legend David Jason wants to return as Del Boy, he revealed yesterday.

David, 65, said: "I'd never say never to doing a new Only Fools And Horses.
"I'd like to think I'm putting more spacing between projects so I have time for family things, but retirement isn't a word I'd use."

But he lashed BBC bosses for relying on repeats of the classic.

He said: "When shows have been on two or three times, they're being screened simply because it's cheap TV. I'm glad people still enjoy the work but I think it's time to move on."

David recently voted the telly star Sun readers love the most is back later this month in new ITV drama Diamond Geezer.
He plays lag Des, who risks his imminent release to pull off a gems heist by pretending to have a stroke.
Producers landed the star by keeping it clean of sex and violence.
David, who has a four-year-old called Sophie with girlfriend Gill Hinchcliffe, 44, admitted he is shocked by the adult content of some shows.

BOYCIE AND MARLENE COME BACK IN A OFAH SPINOFF
THE GREEN GREEN GRASS

Boycie and Marlene, two of the best-loved characters from BBC hit sitcom Only Fools and Horses, are to reunite for the spin-off Green, Green Grass.

The BBC confirmed that a pilot episode about the dodgy car dealer and his long-suffering wife is being filmed.

If the pilot, written by Only Fools and Horses creator John Sullivan, is a success it will become a series.

The actors, John Challis and Sue Holderness, are the only ones from the original series taking part.
The stars of Only Fools and Horses, David Jason and Nicholas Lyndhurst, will not be involved.
Green, Green Grass will see Boycie and Marlene moving out of Peckham for a more refined life in the country, along with their son Tyler.
THERE IS HOPES FOR A NEW GREEN GREEN GRASS SERIES TO COME TO LIFE THIS YEAR

'Never say never'
The pilot will go into production next year, with a potential series being ready for broadcast in 2005.
Writer Sullivan penned seven series of the hugely successful Only Fools and Horses, beginning in 1981.

There have also been a number of Christmas specials, which continued to attract very large audiences, drawing 15.5 million viewers on Christmas Day 2003.
It recently was chosen as Britain's best sitcom in a best sitcom poll, beating the likes of Blackadder, Porridge and Dad's Army.

A BBC spokesman said there were no plans for any more episodes of Only Fools and Horses, but added "never say never".

DELBOY GETS HIS TITLE
SIR DAVID JASON
HIS role as the brash wheeler-dealer Del Boy Trotter in Only Fools and Horses ensured him a special place in the nation's hearts, and now his talents have been recognised by being knighted by the Queen.

David Jason, who has expressed a desire not to be remembered solely for his Del Boy role, said he had also arranged a special secret marriage yesterday to his long time partner Gill.

The 65 year-old BBC Only Fools and Horses actor arrived at Buckingham Palace this morning to receive his honour with new wife Gill. Gill Hinchcliffe has been his long time partner and at 45 became not just Mrs White, but Lady White too.

When interviewed, David Jason fell into his Del boy roll while being interviewed.

The smiling couple, accompanied by their four year old daughter Sophie May, then ignored further questions as they dashed off for a series of television interviews.

Sir David met Hinchcliffe on the set of "A Bit Of A Do" in 1989. They remained friends and their relationship did not start until David's previous partner of 18 years, Myfanwy Talog, died tragically of cancer in 1995.

Gill gave birth to the couple's first child, Sophie Mae, in 2001 at Stoke Mandeville Hospital, Aylesbury.

there are romours about a new series of only fools and horses

aparently it is due to be produced to the comissioners at the bbc to see if they will let it be commisioned and aired on the bbc

if it is there will be a few new charicters in it because lennard pierce died which was why they showed a funeral for him on thye show
and casted uncle albert as a replacement
but the could not just change the charicter to buster merryfield and say it was grandad so they cast him as grandads younger brother
but sadly buster merryfield also died and if they make a new series they will not find anyone like either of them
so they will have to cast a new member
