The Oddicombe S.C & Life-Saving Society
Oddicombe S.C was formed in 1922 at a meeting charied by Col. Rowland Ward M.C a local Doctor's held in St. Marychurch attended by other men who had for many years swam as a group of gentleman's Bathing place at the far end of Oddicombe Beach. The founder members included Mr g.H.Clover who was to become the club coach, Mr R.H. French who was elected Tresurer/secretary.
One of the first tasks undertaken was to provide a substantial club house at the rear end of the beach to provide changing accamodation for ..... (to be continued)
