Ocean Motion International (OMI) is an innovative, economically profitable, and 100% eco-friendly Combined Energy System (CES) which produces potable water, electricity, and hydrogen gas in massive quantities. The CES developed by OMI consists of four sub-system components; a seawater wave-pump, a hydro-turbine electric generator, a reverse-osmosis filtration unit, and if desired, an electrolysis-hydrogen generation unit. The OMI CES is designed to operate on a large offshore platform, essentially a modified version of a standard modular offshore drilling unit. The system is scaleable for smaller applications and uses no external fuel resources to operate. The four sub-system component details are provided on the following pages. Follow the links at the top or the bottom of the page to learn more.
Check out our competition on YouTube. Every wave-energy conversion system on the market, besides OMI, uses non-pressurized systems or other methods that simply cannot compete with the output of electricity generated by OMI's highly pressurized water. Also, OMI is the only company that has effectively designed a system which produces massive amounts of drinking water and hydrogen as well.
This 1/20 scale model was built to demonstrate the basic concept and principle of OMI. The springs on the model are designed to simulate ballast weight and the dye in the water shows the output flow. Now imagine a full scale pump in 4-12 foot ocean swells and a large amount of ballast weight. More wave action + more ballast weight = exponential output potential.
