Ageless Fellowship

The Parish of Our Lady Mother of God

"Ageless Fellowship"  is a social care ministry of the Old Catholic Church in Europe

The Ministry was originally formed as a reminiscence group for older people in a care setting in North Norfolk.  None Eucharistic services were initiated followed by a regular Mass from January 2007. To see more informaton about the Church see this link. The group is liberal by nature and socially diverse. We also offer our services to the Portuguese community in Norfolk and will help those people who no longer accept the leadership of the Roman Catholic Church.

Reminiscence is used as part of the "Ageless Fellowship Ministry" as a vehicle that respects the person's life, integrates the person into a group, and allows for building up of support, wider debate and possible developments in the future. There are many books written on reminiscence therapy although nothing can compare to real ministry with real people. There are  web sites etc available that list ideas and pass-times that can be used in reminiscence work although most do not situate this within a Christian ministry. In any reminiscence work we have to be aware that individuals have their own needs and there own comfort zone and their own religious heritage

It cannot be assumed that everyone is the same or that we have lived lives which are similar. Any reminiscence group must take into account diversity and the sensitive handling of confidential material. Groups take time to form and not everyone feels comfortable immediately in a reminiscence group.

The photographs shown on this site are photographs that have been used in the group and have been seen by the participants in sessions.
